"I wouldn't do heroin, but I'd do oxy"

I was wandering how valid this statement is. If one wanted to try a strong opiate, is oxy really a lot safer than heroin? Obviously the fact that you know exactly the dose you are gettiing with oxy is an advantage, but it seems thats the only thing making it much safer.


Have I missed something, or is this a valid oppinion?
 
I would say it's only really the issue of unknown potency with heroin, yeah. Otherwise no, oxy is not really safer. Both drugs can result in ODs in the inexperienced user.

It all depends on the quality of the Heroin that you have... I would much rather have some good Heroin over Oxy.
 
Oxy is the yuppies heroin, mainly for people that want to know there 'dope' came from a lab. The drug is weak in my opinion

Oxy is not safer than Heroin they are both dangerous drugs. Just because Oxy comes from a pharmacutical company, and heroin comes from the arid mountain ranges in netheregions.

When injecting used for administration oxys are more dangerous than heroin IMO.


Can anybody show me an 'actual' death from heroin IV that was attributed to the cut of the drug?

heroin is much more sedating than oxy; i've heard some people say that oxy has stimulative properties for them. so once you get up to the higher doses, heroin would have a greater risk of death by OD than oxy.

i find heroin to be better than oxy in every way.
 
I love how police call oxy " the poor man's heroin." With prices like $30 for an 80mg tablet I'd call it "the rich man's heroin."
 
To answer the quetion, when people say stuff like this I laugh.. Oxycodone and Diacetylmorphine are opiate of almost the exact same potency and strength. .The only difference(aside from structure) is in the subtle overtones of the high, and the sources.

Yes, oxycontin is pharmacutical grade... Heroin is not.. But pharmacutical grade only counts when injecting, smoking or snorting it really makes no difference. Since oxycontin is time release, it is actually less afe to inject than H..

Aside from that Heroin should be superior. First a $20 sack of decent H should be the equivalent of an OC40, which runs $30-40. So heroin is cheaper.. Also, in most people's opinion, H lasts a couple hours longer than the oxy high..

So you have a cheaper, longer lasting, equally as potent opiate that is unfavored by some because of the stigma that society has placed on it.. The only reason I could see someone choosing oxy over H is for a social situation. OXy tends to be the most lucid and least sedating of opiates, making it much more of a social drug than the downer, heroin..

not like heroin isnt often cut with shit, but the binders/fillers in oxys are notorious for causing serious health problems in IV users. ugly shit.

Why is it over here we can only get Heroin or Codeine OTC, I never hear of anyone selling morphine? :\

I have really good connections for most stuff but the best price I can find for an 80 is $60! I would never buy oxycontin specifically for that reason and because I can get percocet 10s for $3, but street value on an OC 80 here really is $80. where do you live?
 
A dollar a milligram is bullshit. If you have a good connection (like i have, a 80 cost $10, and is actually cheaper than heroin. Its convenient that oxy's are in small pill form, and you know hte does. The high great too . I love it. But heroin is better because its all about the nod rod and todd............
 
Nothing really beats the high of an oc 80. Its real euphoric and relaxed. Dope is more of a really down but all over great feeling. But different strokes for different folks. I live in Philly so we got da purest shit in the country. I love this fucking city...
