En10se, my best friend is planning on getting a 100pack of 28 gauge syringes in about 10 days.
he has dilaudid 4mg prescribed, he needs feedback on how to prep.
en10se has experience with iv heroin and iv ritalin but never iv dilaudid.
since the dillies are small it would be easy to crush and dissolve.
does there need 2 be any reagents to add to the dilaudid+h20 to help it fully be water soulable.
also any of tips on Banging Diluaids would help en10se.
he heard around that dilaudid is around 10-25% oral bioaviablity. so the iv could preduce a "rush"
 
Also en10se is wondering what a good first time dosage of dilaudid IV. En10se has taken 10-20mg oral before at one time and felt pretty high. But en10se knows bioaviablity of dilaudid is 20% so bang is 5x stronger.
Would 8mg IV be too much?

He is a heavyweight opiate user, but he never has IV'd dillies. Is 12mg too high?
should he try 4mg iv then move his weigh up?
 
IV'ing dillies is way different. If you haven't shot them yet I would start very low. They will throw you around. But be careful, the high is short felt but that doesn't mean you should shoot again. I would wait 6-12 hours then find the right dose. Also, sounds like you don't have many so you want the full effect without the od.
 
Just so you know once you start IVing dilaudid your tolerance will shoot up fast (no pun) and you will probably end up going through them 3x faster than normal after a few weeks of doing it. If you are doing it to make them last longer that will not happen, and you will probably regret ever doing it.
 
You don't even need a micron filter, man. just a spoon, rig, needle, cotton, water, heat, vein. Don't cook it too long!

Actually you should never 'cook' dilaudid or most any other drugs when preparing them for IV. All the good stuff will dissolve in room temp water, and heating it up will only allow for the solid binders/fillers to dissolve into the solution, only to precipitate back out of the solution as a solid after it cools down in your veins which can cause a number on health problems.

As for filtering, you may not need to use a micron filter, but they are way better than other filters and can help save you from certain complications. For example a missed shot is a lot less harmful if the solution was micron filtered, and there are some other examples of why it's safer if you do some research on it. Since this is a harm reduction forum we always recommend using micron filters when IVing.
 
I think 2mg is gonna leave you a little dissapointed. Banging an 8mg dilaudid felt like 2mg of hospital grade IV dilaudid. Plus those pills are not exactly homogenous so the quarter you use might have barely any hydromorphone in it. I know people are going to bash me for this, but if you have experience with heroin, I would honestly just bang the whole 8mg pill for the best experience possible. You could even start out on 4, but if you plan to dose again before waiting 6-8 hours you would probably need to do the whole pill to get a similar result. It is acutally pretty hard to OD on IV Dilaudid, at least compared to other opiates, because of its very short half life.

Jumping to IV dillies from oral is really a veeeeeeerrrrryyyy big jump... A real dangerous one.

Snort them to get a better feel for getting high off of them first...

This is good advice. IV hydromorphone is intense for regular IV opiate users.. let alone somebody who is only used to taking them orally. It is a very potent opiate with a strong rush. You need to be very careful. If you can find what you're looking for by snorting it.. you will be much safer and save yourself a lot of future heartache.

Exactly how I did it for many years. Dillies leave very little residue behind so I always use cotton even though micron is best. I would not start with an 8 without having a very high tolerance to other strong opiods.
The most I ever used at once was 16mg and i woke up on my bed with a needle hanging from my arm. That was after banging them for a long time.

I hope you have strong willpower. That insanely gorgeous feeling that Dilaudid gives can grab you very hard.
The WD's after using for a few months are fukkin brutal
