I thought I was snorting meth!

Last week I had to take a drug test for my job, and unfortunately, HORROR!, it came back positive. I've been doing crystal meth for a while now, but I thought I had given it enough time (3 days) to get out of my system.
Surprise is, the results came back positive for amphetamines. It came back negative on methamphetamines. How is this? Any help would be appreciated.

Drug tests don't differientate between amphetamine and methamphetamine, if you pissed dirty, it would show dirty for amphetamines.
 
No it separately stated amphetamines and methamphetamine. Said negative for methamphetamine, positive for amphetamine???

Yes they do differentiate.... I dont know what happened though.. either youve been getting straight speed, or amphetamine was the only metabolite of meth left in your system. Ive you are a heavy/habitual user of a water soluble drug its safer to give 1-2 weeks.

Hey silverfucked (or anyone else that may be able to help)...do you have any more information/links to anything that suggests giving 1-2 weeks on the water soluble drugs by any chance? I am not doubting you by any means, I've just never heard that it's wise to wait that long, I always figured 4 days should be good for people. Anyways, looks like I should start to get off the smack right about now since I'm putting in some apps right around this time, lol.
Oh, and if anyone has any personal first hand experience with this in anyways, please post, I think it would help out a lot of people. Or at least help prove/disprove the 1-2 weeks, it will give a better sense of the usual time frame coming from first hand experiences! Thanks to anyone that can help.
 
I've taken MANY a piss test amd I have never seen anything but "amphetamines" listed, included the NIDA-5. What test are you taking? I belive you, I just have never seen this type of test used...
 
you know you had a drug test in 3 days.. and you were doing crystal anyways? lol fiend :P my vote goes to metabolites too..
 
i wouldnt want my employees being shady ass, office supply stealing, up for 3 days tweekers either. if you cant stay off drugs for a WEEK to take a drug test you shouldnt have the job anyways.. im all for taking whatever drugs you like, but if you cant stay off for a week to do something important, like pass a test to get a job, i think you have a problem.

But if an employee is hard-working, productive, and does everything to fulfill the requirements of the job, then why should the employer give a fuck about the employee's drug use?
If the employee uses drugs in a manner that does not affect others and his job negatively, then IMO, NO ONE has the right to make him stop, or feel upset that he uses drugs.
Look, no one gets all pissy at alcoholics who drink a shitload but are good employees -- because alcohol is legal and socially accepted. IMO, no illegal drug is any worse (and many are a helluva lot better).
 
Oh, I was saying that 1-2 week thing to be on the safe side.. 5 days most likely will be enough, but if you dont wanna risk it id wait longer.
