I had this idea and decided to put it out there and get some feedback.

First prepare approximately 2g BHO from 28g mids, next dissolve the honey oil in DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) until all the BHO is absorbed. Next, blend this with a fragranced lotion to cover up the garlic smell of dmso.

I think topical thc would be a huge hit and i think this will work. Do some research on DMSO and let me know what you think.

let me get you disolve it into a liquid yeah?

and by hit it you mean ingest it, chrome it ?
 
No, DMSO aids in permeating most membranes in the body, including the skin. This application would be topical

people also use Isopropyl alcohol weed tincutres for topical application as well. and that process is easier using more common chemicals
 
Your breathe will smell like shit, everytime at work i spill DMSO on myself i get sulphide breathe which isnt as much fun as it sounds. I had a thought about this and it would probably be a matter of getting it purified (then working out dosages) and getting it emulfsified into something. But if you can deal with the bad breath good luck, i wanted to try this for acid where you dont have to use to much DMSO.... Report the news.

Edit: If you have supplies and can be fucked you might want to look into the purification of you hash oil via MeOH/Hexane partition, i had the thought that you might be able to extract a good deal of the THC over and keep the colour in the MeOH, but the hexane is rather nasty to leave to evaporate so...

Are there other solvents that come close to DMSO's ability to drag things through cells?
 
I am thinking of emulsifying in propylene glycol and using only a small amount of dmso combined with small amounts of olecic acid, a solvent called Tween 20 (or maybe 80), and possibly some carbon tetrachloride, but I am a bit uncomfortable mixing all of these solvents. All 4 would be overkill anyways if i can get the ratio right with just 2 or 3 .
 
This may be a foolish question but is the purpose of this concoction to get intoxicated on the THC or to use it for some medicinal purpose?
 
it is designed to be psychoactive by means of intravenous delivery, transdermally
 
I don't under stand any of the science behind that but it sounds pretty awesome to be able to rub THC on your skin and get high from it. I hope you can get it to work.
 
I just thought i would bring up other things ive heard about.

Someone i know made a tropane alkaloid skin cream, They did a basic methanol extraction then mixed the residue into vaseoline (petroleum jelly). I didnt see them trip but aparently it worked.

Also you can ask your pharmacist for (i dont know your supplies) a few emulsifiers, then just do small batches. I assume you checked if it can be absorded by itself? compression bandage with a plastic pad might work for the test.
 
dont think its going to get you high, but cannabis can be used as a topical poultice for local analgesic effects

I do think topical would be a huge hit, especially if you could somehow control the smell, which I personally haven't had a problem with yet, but would seem to me to be the main problem with using topical via DMSO.

How would you go about mixing morphine with DMSO, in what proportions, etc? I am taking liquid morphine with DMSO and because of it's ability to cross the blood brain barrier, I only have to take 1/3 as much as I was taking before to get the same pain relief, but I haven't been able to get the transdermal method down.
Maybe I am watering down the morphine too much for fear I will get too much too quick, although I have been in pain management a long time (unfortunately) and due to my high tolerance the risk of ODing is practically nil.

Do you have any ideas on this? Much appreciated!

DMSO is unique in it's ability to bring other substances through the skin's cell membranes and into the bloodstream, no other solvent comes close. At least not without being perfectly safe.
 
if you can think of a way to replace the S=O with O=O then it might remedy the garlic breath, but thats some fairly complicated chemistry. but what the hell do i know? im still in high school (pun sorta intended)

also, at and just below room temp, DMSO is a solid so... yes it would need to either be melted or emulsified.

so i might go for a sublingual application, diluted with water.
