Opioids I think I missed my shot or something I'm scared help

I've had my friends shoot me up 3 times in the past.



Yesterday I tried for the first time myself and it went semi-okay but a bubble came up as I injected and it was red and sore for a little while but even a day later it looks fine.

Today I am dealing with about a 1/4 chunk of subutex.

I didn't want to go in the same area as its still tender. And my left arm is covered in tattoos so its very hard to see my veins.

I did a very visible vein a little ways up from my wrist. I pulled back, blood came in, and slowly injected. I thought it was straight but I didn't feel the same rush as before, and there is a small maybe dime sized raised area not too noticeable but I can feel it when I run my hand over it, and its kind of uncomfortable.

I might have been able to find search I dunno but since I'm kinda freakin out I figured I'd go ahead and post. And I'm on 2.5mg of klonopin, so if I'm stressed on that I dunno. I'm a hypochondriac but yeah...
 
i think you missed the vein (since its very thin around the wrist area) so it shot under your skin

i'm not a specialist to injecting so i am gonna leave that for someone else.
 
If you got flashback in your dropper but then had a raised area after, you probably hit the vein, infiltrated, and then injected subcutaneously. That would explain why you didn't get a rush. SC injections don't come on as quick or hard as IV. Since you're new to phlebotomy, do some research about proper technique. Just get the basics on how to give yourself a shot and understand what you're doing, that should help you out a lot.
 
Any idea of medical problems? I've read about infection and abscess's but I'm not sure if this is what that is. When will it go away? Its still just a nickel sized raised area, and like I said you can't notice it visibly (well I can because I know about it) but when I feel it its just sore I'M SCARED HELP ME

I don't normally make sentences that sound like these but I guess I'm semi-fucked up I just successfully banged another quarter the right way lower down that arm that hurt earlier. help me eeee3wwe
 
If it's only been there a day or two, it's not an abscess. It takes a while for one to form. The best way to avoid getting an abscess, phlebitis, or thrombosis, it to shoot the right way and shoot clean. You can avoid all this by using proper aseptic technique. I'll leave to you to look into that.

As for the problem at hand, apply a warm compress to the area regularly. That should help. If it's still there in a few days, you might have an infection of some kind. It's not the end of the word, treatment is pretty easy. Anyway, just be safe and don't do it dirty. That's where all these problems stem from. There's plenty of info on this site that can help you avoid these problems.
 
Hot compresses, rest, and time. I'm closing this because you obviously want urgent help - so go get a doctor. This has been covered over and over again on our forums and the only advice is to wait for a few days and if it's still there go to the doc.

BL is not some sort of ambulance service. Saying "please help me I'm scared help meeeeee" like some sort of whiny little girl won't make us go faster.
