I think i have a problem.

LSD can be used for ego-destruction.... which in turn allows for an open field when taking aim at depression/addictions. however, ego-destruction can be incredibly terrifying, so don't attempt it without an experienced psychonaut or shaman to help guide things along. DMT works along the same principles, except it's a lot.... messier.

Suffice it to say, that I *know* I'd have much better results with the hands-on approach of LSD, rather than leaving my depression to standard meds & psychiatry..... just none to be found.

It's awesome that you can notice your problem.

Personally, when I was heavily using..it was to self medicate my bipolar 1. So, I know how that feels...it's never fun. Well, it's all fun in the begining then it's a huge nightmare. OP rehab sounds good for you. I learned so much about myself in OP rehab. Also, try a meeting. Find one where you're comfortable. They seem like a bunch of bullshit in the begining, but they can be a lifesaver.

Good luck. If you ever need someone to talk to, you can PM or email me. <3

While it may be true that "Shrinks" will often times say "You have this disorder and should that this drug"
You always have the option of getting another opinion and turning down the medication.
You can also say- I think maybe I'm just depressed due to such and such situations- or, depending on your age- it may be you are depressed b/c you care going through some life changes, both physical and mental that can cause you to be depressed. Just b/c you see someone, doesn't mean you are put on meds. AND some people NEED medication.
Bipolar Disorder, Depression,Shizophrenia- those are real deal problems that can often times be helped GREATLY with medication.
Therapy can really help you do that to decide if you truly have a chemical imbalance or if its a situational type thing.

I realllllllllllly think suggesting more drug use to a person who wants to be clean for a while, and who is suffering from a mental issue is the wrong way to go.
Eliminating the substances that will/are altering your mind is the only way to find out what the problem in your head may be- if you are taking drugs, how will you ever know if what you are thinking or feeling is drugs or alcohol.
Alot of people are put on heavy duty mental health meds while also taking drugs and don't realize that had they eliminated the drug use before they might not need the meds. Blah. It s just this strange and awful cycle that we really should suggest someone get into.........

And I totally agree with modestmichelle that it is great you are recognizing your problem and wanting to work on it! Don't be afraid to get help. <3
