Heroin I think I blew a vein

So I've been in the IV for a little less than a year. I have never been high on weed while shooting. So like a high retard I tied my tourniquet tight as fuck and I had it in but it just hurt and got swollen. It's a lot better now though and I'm apply a heating pad. Maybe an icepack?

I know it takes a significant amount of time for veins to repair themselves, but do the holes close?

Aside from possible discontinuing using this vein in my hand any complications.
 
Use a hot compress, rest your arm. See a doctor if there is redness or swelling that persists more than 48 hours. Also see an ER if you get a high fever, have pus oozing from the injection site, etc.

Your veins (injection site etc) can and will scab up and form scar tissue just like any other part of you. It will heal in time.
