i keep having dreams of demons. they are usually chasing me or hovering over me while i cower under a blanket. sometimes i wake up and cant help but cry and hide under my blanket i'm so scared. I'm only 20 years old.

the past few months I've had a lot of trouble sleeping at night simply because i constantly feel like i am being watched and someone is about to slice my throat or attack me in some way.

its especially bad at night. I've woken up from these horrible dreams and saw a silhouette of a grim reaper in the corner of my room. I've also woken up and saw an evil eye staring at me in a different corner of my room. the eye was in a pitch dark area near the ceiling. it looked as if it was drawn with an orange marker. i only saw the lines. it wasn't colored in or anything. after about 20-30 seconds of me staring right at it it slowly floated out my window and left

could this be some type schizophrenia? maybe paranoid? are demons haunting me? the reason i say schizophrenia is because my older brother has it. he had a lot of brain trauma when he was younger though and is the only one in our family that has it.

sometimes i see flashes of light out of the corners of my eyes. or when i listen to music I think I hear someone yelling my name but no one is there.

I used to do a lot of meth and once I became a daily heavy user I'd almost always go into psychosis after using and smoking any amount of weed makes me extremely paranoid. I used to be able to use DXM daily with no out-of-the-ordinary side effects. Now whenever I take it, it also makes me extremely paranoid and I hear/see things that I didn't used to.

I'm not exactly sure whats going on. I think its schizophrenia. But schizophrenics don't know they are sick. I have not done any drugs besides LSA(twice) and DXM. Haven't touched any drugs for a month now. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder years ago but all this paranoia/demon stuff started maybe 4-5 months ago

Hi crazy guy, sorry to hear that you're experiencing this, it's really horrible. I sometimes suffer from nightmares, sleep paralysis and anxiety/fear at night as well so I know how disruptive it can be.

First things first, it sounds like you need to stay away from recreational drugs including weed and of course DXM. Regardless of whether you actually have a disorder of some description, whenever you get high you just get paranoid and scared, and that's no fun! So it's good that you're steering clear of drugs.

Secondly, you really need to see a doctor about this as soon as you can. Again, whether you have schizophrenia or not, or perhaps some other condition, what you are experiencing is extremely disturbing and uncomfortable for you. So you should get it checked out as soon as possible.

In the meantime to try and help you sleep better, maybe try some chamomile tea before bed, or you can get herbal sleep remedies such as valerian root extract from the pharmacy. They really help me when I'm having difficulty sleeping. They're good for general anxiety as well so it's worth a try to see if it helps you.

I think its schizophrenia. But schizophrenics don't know they are sick.

This is not necessarily true, sometimes if someone like yourself recognises subtle abnormalities or changes in themself early on, they can still be aware that at least something is wrong, and possibly even suspect schizophrenia. Generally as the condition progresses and gets more severe, that is when the sufferer isn't likely to know or acknowledge that they have a disorder.

Good luck, and let us know how you go <3
