I sold a item ebay and some complication

So i sold a item on ebay, I shipped it out, and they person didn't like it, so they ask for a refund. i told them to ship it out,and ill refund them, which they claimed they did, but I never got it. Now they are very mad. What im i suppose to do, or what happends now. The item is $360..

i feel like, someone is going to get screwed here, if i refund her, ill lose $360. If she doesn't get her money she loses $360.
It seems like someone will be screwed here. Any idea what to do??
 
the tracking number only says expected delivery 4-23-12. thats all it says. it never says if anyone picked it up or not.
Bottom line is I never got the product. No one signed for it.

its possible someone stole it, but i was home all day on that day, and usually the mailman knocks at my door and get a signature.
 
'expected delivery' and 'delivered' are surely two very different things?

your customer should follow this up with the shipper.

on the website it says expected delivery on 4/23/ but when I call in it said delivered on 4/23.. So its two different thing. That's why its confusing.
 
Hit up eBay about this. There is a good chance they'll refund her if they can really believe that she sent it out. And you'll get to keep the money.
 
people pull scams on ebay all the time, they buy something they want then see if they can try and get the money back as well. If the item was 360 bucks you'd think she would have sent it in a manner where it is assured to get there and also where she can track it and make sure it was recieved, it'd be like sticking 360 in an envelope and sending it regular mail. I'd confront her and explain that alot of scams go on, say you have doubts as to whether the item was even shipped and ask for some kind of proof, anyway thats just my experience with ebay
