... why the f*** we can't discord staff?

not that i have a reason in this precise moment, but it's confusing.
does that mean that they can function as forum staff, too?

how am i expected to open up about my struggles with increased drug use if can't be sure who is who here anymore?

Confusing, yes. It was worse with the jabberwockies.
I wouldn't have done that, though. As for the name change I had my reasons, none of which concerns you.

I don't expect anyone to open up to me. Either they do or they don't.
It's different when you are on staff.
Though maybe that's not important anymore.
 
Do you mean why can discord staff mod this forum, But this forum cannot mod discord.

I guess I am just reiterating the question. Please don't hate me now.

It does seem like there are a few that actually do interface and mod both here on forum and

discord as well.

I guess it may not really be any of my business or concern on this focus however.

Yea, there have been several glitches lately.
Some have been fixed, some not.
 
If you can point to an example of a Discord staff member bothering you and preventing you from being open about any kind of personal struggles, I'd be happy to talk to them.

As they are very rarely participating here, I don't see what the potential need would be for anyone to have to ignore them.

But yeah, ultimately, people marked as staff can't be ignored. But that doesn't mean they have staff permissions here, or can take actions that are reserved for forum mods. They are just considered Bluelight staff generally.

if you're worried about sharing information about your struggles, ignoring certain bluelighters will have no effect.

ignored people can still read your posts.

this is a public forum and anything you post can be read by anyone.

I know that ignored users can still see what I post. Are you suggesting I'm stupid? It almost seems so to me.

But there are certain users on staff who posted quite aggressively, and seeing them around posting in sensitive forums is triggering. I've had traumatic experiences.

Thas why I would like to ignore them.

But OK, I just don't visit those sensitive sub forums anymore because a place with triggers is not a safe place.
