OK, so feeling pretty fucking dispirited after waiting 4+ hours for a dose of aMT to hit, I decided to head off down to the off-license for some cigarettes and alcohol, unable to face the day entirely sober. So, I thought to myself, I'll get home, get drunk, smoke cigs, take the last of those benzos I've got lying around, and wait for sleep to hit me. But fuck me if it didn't suddenly strike me, 'aww shit, tobacco diminishes the effects of benzodiazapines.'
So what do you do in such a situation? Having to choose between one or the other is obviously a shitty compromise; you'll never be truly satisfied, and what's the point in recreational drug use if it doesn't leave you truly satisfied?
Having no social life, and so plenty of free time, I began to drink (a decent alternative to beginning to think), and browsed google for some sort of solution. It seems that something in tobacco 1, who knows what, promotes release of the enzyme CYP1A2 in the liver, this of course being one of the enzymes involved in the metabolism of benzodiazapines.
Even a idiot like me could see the next obvious step. Using good old Wikipedia, I found a handy table 2 categorising CYP1A2 inhibitors into strong, weak, and of unspecified potency. Obviously some of this shit wouldn't be easily obtainable; also, we can rule out weak inhibitors because ...well...fuck I don't need to explain that. Easily obtainable, albeit of unspecified potency, enzyme inhibitors that I had to hand were Cumin and Turmeric (word to the wise: if you're tempted to try this be warned that turmeric will stain anything it touches. Seriously, take care with this shit). I also managed to find some Phenoxymethylpenicillin, a broad spectrum anti-biotic, so hopefully a potent CYP1A2 inhibitor.
The scientifically-minded amongst you will have realised by now that by taking three separate substances I fucked up the scientific method experiment nature of this experiment. Well fuck it. I want benzos, and I want cigarettes, and I want the best chance of achieving that.
Regardless, I parachuted some horse-pill size lumps of Cumin and Turmeric, and took the penicillin. This was about an hour ago, since when I've steadily continued to drink. The English amongst you can probably imagine how I'm feeling right now...it's like a post-piss up curry with none of the sluggishness and nausea.
God I've been rambling on. Maybe that aMT is doing something after all. The screen sure is wobbling to an abnormal degree.
Sorry I'm gonna have to abort-this-report. And I started out with such edifying intentions. Still, I'll keep this thread updated with how the 'experiment' goes.
