Yeah, sad as fuck. Some of them were very young apparently. They told russians gave like two or three weeks as a period of grace before closing the clinics. That is no time to taper and it counts as a cold turkey in my book

Why stop it Russia has a shit load of addicts is there no maintanace program in russia 3 weeks some of them could have been on high doses . And it worse then pods which is another long acting opium it takes me a month on them before my legs stop hurting .

It makes no sense, that draconian laws. They only hurt some people while they don't protect the rest.
Three weeks is nothing. Many years ago I had to cold turkey fucking methadone (I had no option). Needed diapers for over a month. Utter hell.
 
Oh sorry, I posted wrong.
I meant I think most of that poor people did not die by the done wds alone, but for it being combined with complications in their previous conditions along with the use of ilegal drugs to cope with the sudden methadone supression.
I have read that methadone wds can be fatal, tho.

No, there is not such a thing in Russia.
Methadone and bupe are seen as ilegal as the rest of ilegal drugs.

Even now-especially those in Harkov are completely cut off methadone.They withdrawling from methadone or bupre with rifles engaging in combat.What a nightmare

My God, poor people. I can't stop thinking about them since all this shit started. I mean, I feel for every victim, but a war and a methadone wd toghether?? Come on, man...
By the way, Nas, being bulgarian and not very young ( as you have tried pantopon) you must know russian, don't you?
Was is not mandatory in the communist bulgarian schools?
 
Yes in my times speaking russian was obligatory.All from generation X speak and read russian.Youngsters don't speak at all russian

Can you imagine fighting while withdrawing from long acting gear . Heroin you feel shit but 2 weeks you kind of ok but these long acting opiates even pods which are long acting tyhe fatigue there for a month and i guess bupe or methadone has to be worse. Im not lying i stay home or car when withdrawing from pods legs hurt cry at night the pain in legs for me at night its unbearable . Russians seem a hard people ive seen interviews where young conscipts who have been taken prisoner call home and get a earfull for being taken prisoner . Im sure their the same as us and but i think that long cold winter fucks with their head .

Now i stop pods increase Heroin and just wd from heroin after a month i know it atleast a month to come of methadone and that after tapering imagine you comfertable got your dose right it high dose and then fuck off you get nothing .

But we just addicts aint worth shit in the eyes of russians they keep selling cheap vodka while their men are drinking themselves to death . If a country cant respect their dead soilders sent to a war what chance a little empathy for addicts

I donty think its only because of methadone on its own but say your health or heart is shit a long methadone detox can fuck it up i know someone that went to rehab for Heroin had a stroke he survived but 70 out of 800 is very high for a opiate vd.

Do you get really bad leg pain on methadone and they feel like statues . Its just my opinon based on my expeiriance after 16 years on any type of opium drug im going to use a Punjabi saying it gets in your bones . Its hard to translate a deep punjabi words to english kind of means its part of your marrow it is needed for life. In India they used to give raw opium or poppy pods to registered addicts since the 50s they would go to govermant shops to get your monthly supply . Ill try getting the report but rthey found it better to treat long term addicts to opium, with tramadol rather then wean them of . This nationalist BJP goverment stopped the decades long program of free opium leaving old 70 80 year olds who been on it for decades to the wind . Then after protests because these men were now having to buy in the open market leaving their families short of cash they found tramadol fort free the best option . So they stopped a program giving free opium pods and raw opium to addicts to replace it withy a opiate fucking pricks not only they destroying a secular India they try these gimmicks

Read interview with an ukranian solder.Methadone addict.He don't wanna fight,but is obligatory for them you know.And this young man sitting all day in his apartment on upper floor with sniper and walky talky.Without methadone,all hurts,but he tells,that they can find pregabs and atleast be in some condition to hold a gun.Terrible times man

Pregabs will let him move about somewhat and cancel the fatigue fight the war and then get of the the pregabs . So the war must have disrupted the methadone supply thats a lot of people going without ukraine has a large population in treatment ill try finding the avideos

Please, forgive my bad manners and let me do so: I`m spanish, middle aged, have been an heroin addict when young and on methadone for many years, decades, don't even feel confortable talking about it nor thinking (kowing) I will be a lifer, but that is the raw true. I tried to taper it off, but allways reach a point where I could not go any further.
I do not do ilegal drugs anymore on a regular basis, aside from some good (and cheap) morrocan hash to help me sleep. Despiste that, I'm disabled from a bad accident and sometimes pain get so bad that I have to... you know, do somethig.
I am not a very active poster beacause I'm not that wise or versed nor have I any scientific background, plus I am kind of shy even on line. Anyway I will do my best to help others if I can, like everybody does (do?) in this fantastic site which has helped me so much.

Hey 👋 i just joined yesterday . Have you been using heroin daily? If you’re in usa You could buy some kratom to possibly help with tapering that’s what I did when I stopped taking clonozepam it really helped with getting off that ..don’t know about heroin tho but I’d imagine tapering kratom would be better than Tapering with heroin but I only experienced benzo withdrawals

I thinh I have seen the same intervew, and in fact I think he said he went to a pharmacy to try and get Lyrica. Awful

Welcome to BL! I was also a heroin addict for about 8 years, then was on methadone for a couple years. I tapered off successfully & I’ve been methadone free since July of 2021 & havent had even the slightest urge to relapse. If u wanna talk more about that please feel free to hit my private message 💕
