Aaaa.....it's not rowan.Latin name is Crataegus.Don't know the english word,but here in the Balkan this tree is common.And....yes,if you like mountains and wild-here's the place you could feel fine(sea is also good,warm and with very good sands,but Aegean sea is better for me.

It is called hawthorn. There's plenty of it around here in Wales where I live.

I collect the berries in the autumn and make hawthornberry wine and fruit jellies from them. Hit me up if you want the recipe.
