ok, so i have no choice but to move to vegas, because i dont want to be homeless and im going to schedule a drs appt for tomorrow if i can because i have to leave asap, and i take a lot of meds, for various reasons, my point of the visit is to ask him if i can i have scripts of all my meds to last me for 3-4 months, atleast, because i dont know if ill be able to get a dr in vegas, because im in the counties system for medical in california, so getting a dr in vegas will not be easy.
i have to take meds for osteoporosis, meds for bipolar, meds for anxiety
so all in all i have to take valium, depakote, serequol, fosamax, vitamin d and i need to ask him if i can get a script and a couple refills of this particular med, vicodin for chronic back pain, will all this at once be too much?

but understand this is the only chance i have to get all the meds i need, and that i wont be able to get what i need in vegas, and if i do, it will be months before i can.

Legally, unless its different in your state, you can prescribe up to 6 months worth of refills for schedule III meds I believe (such as hydrocodone).

There is no way we can know what your doctor will be comfortable doing. I've had friends who moved taking controlled medicines and they each had a different experience. Some got the max amount to take with, some got help quickly locating a new physician with their current physician, and some got 1 month and no more.

Since all we can do is speculate, I'm going to close this. If you think there's more here than just soliciting speculation, PM me.

...Oh, and your question wasn't that interesting ;)
