Alright, so I got this new pollenator (grinder with 4 compartments and a screen to collect kief) and I have a few questions as I've never owned my own, always used a crappy plastic grinder, anyways.

So theres that screen that collects my kief right? So what keeps it from falling right back out the screen out of the collection compartment once I tip it over?
Also, how many times is a good ammount to twist the grinder, with my shitty plastic one I would have to twist it atleast 30 times, but my friend has a pollenator and he insists to never twist it more than 3-4 times.. Some kind of ettiquete or something for best performance??
 
Maybe his grinder is so good he only needs to twist it three or four times. I've never owned a pollenator though.
 
Im asking because it might be if I grind it too much that it will all become small enough to fall throigh the screen, not just thrichomes but weed too, wouldnt want that happening, also dont want it to still be chunky when im done grinding. any pollenator profesionals?
 
Umm... well don't tip your grinder first off, there's certainly no need. I've got a nice metal grinder and it needs more spinning than my little wooden one. I wonder if he meant: Never twist the threaded part too tightly because you can break the threads. Or he was being a salesman or confident or talking out the buttcheeks.

I don't think you could ever grind the green into the size of the trichomes. Have you seen them? They're TINY. You'd need a blender or something to do that :D
 
Order goes like this: Weed into grinder->weed falls on top of tray and kif filters through to bottom->unscrew screen with weed on top and you have the base with kif in it. If you happen to have two screens in yours it is merely so you can get different grades of kif or maybe was intended to just get really pure kif at the bottom. The bottom most layer will probably be all trichomes and no foliage.

I'd say just try it a few times and see what's the best for you . trial and error. I've noticed that my grinder works better when its full of weed. it doesn't do very good if you just stick one bud in it. If I really fill it up, it works great.
 
It's not that simple, because if the kief goes into the bottom, when I open the other compartment and pour the weed out, why wouldnt kief just fall right back through the screen into my pile of weed on the table?

Gezgin helped with one of my problems, weed obviously wont fall through the screen, so thats not a problem, but what about the kief falling BOTH ways through the screen??! before I pour weed onto the table should I unscrew the kief compartment?
 
Wow... how do you go the bathroom? "Mom???? The pee is going everywhere. Should I hold it? These are easily answered questions. Yeah... unscrew it. Do you need to dump your weed out? Could you not utilize the wonderful dexterity of the human hand? (Assuming you are human) I sometimes make a little pinching motion to pick things up. It's pretty awesome. You should try it.

haha man, just go about your biz and don't worry about that...

After you go through a zip you'll see some kief gathering. It's slow. Doesn't matter if you tip or not, keep your last compartment sealed up and you'll be fine.

Twisting more just grinds it more. I twist until I stop feeling resistance.
 
Hey thewinner, for some reason the kif likes to just stay in the bottom there. You can scoop the weed out of the grinder with a clean spoon or something if you're worried about losing a small bit if you turn it over to dump it out. Mostly the kief is just like an extra bonus it's not the whole purpose of having a grinder, so whatever you get in the kief catcher is fine :)

well, the kief IS the reason I purchased a pollenator instead of using my old shitty grinder... Well I guess this grinder does grind better too :) ty guys
