I got a lollypop piece....

Of course, just maybe a little too much so!

I'm just warning you that Fentanyl is a synthetic opiate and it's much stronger than even heroin. The closest comparison would I think be Dilaudil, so you see what kind of stuff we're dealing with here.

Basically it's among the worst addictions you could ask for, many people quickly end up at a point where opiates don't kick unless they're on an unhealthyly large dose of Fentanyl first, because the Fent withdrawals kills anything you can throw at it.
PhreeX is currently recovering (slowly) from a coma he was put into by the substance, so in the spirit of harm reduction I just want you re-affirm the extreme dangers associated with opiates this potent.

This stuff is designed for people who are dying and are not going to live out the year, or even the week. It's not exactly meant for regular use by healthy young people looking to pass out ;)

Well, sorry, it's just that I've seen too many people make the false assumption that

lollypop = kidstuff = safe

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

But sorry for being a mother goose, I just think it's important that no one goes out and takes Fentanyl thinking it's a children's cough suppresant or something :)

Just as a follow up, I survived. I didn't just go out and bite down on some lollypop...I did my research first. Actually I had read about them on this website, and the person that I get OCs from offered me half of the lollypop. It was quite an unexpected find. I knew more about them than the person that had them did, he was trying to tell me that they were morphine. Although I am not sure of what the strength was, I played it safe, but still ended up puking at one point that night.
 
So, was it worth it or what? Those things scare the chirst out of me.

Glad you were ok, bummer about the vomiting, was it just due to the lolly or were you on something else?

Why do they scare you so much? I don't know, perhaps you're not really into opiates or whatever, but I think anyone that likes opiates/has a tolerance would kill for one of these things...I know I would. Shit I'd rather have one of these than the oxy I can get at ridiculously low prices ($10/80mg) I'd be willing to give up for whatever the price be on these, ah whatever, I guess I can only hope someday my oxy guy comes across these too and knows as little about them as he does about the oxy he is (stupidly) selling dirt cheap.

But anyways, to the original poster: How did you enjoy the over all experience, would you do it again? Take a smaller dose, anything else you can add?
 
To clear some shit up, these are prescribed to patients who are already taking potent opiates and have a tolerance, so they can self medicate when they're in pain, and when their current med isn't cutting it.

first, how do i pronounce Dilaudil? im still astonished about drug names--some like this, and Actiq, are so bizarre!

Secondly, how come i've never heard anything about fentanyl withdrawal from Narcotics Anonymous, etc, sources? everyone always hears about alcohol and heroin withdrawal being the top of the tops, but why not fentanyl if it's that severe?

How could being on an extremely high dose of fentanyl increase the effects of opiates? wouldn't it rather just mix with the opiates, like any other duo drug combination would?

What do you mean by this? the withdrawal is so strong that nothing can overcome it? how does that pertain to the beginning of the statement where it regards that opiates can be felt better, if you're at that stage in tolerance, on a high dose of fentanyl?

I find that comment amusing...because can't that be said about ANY drug!? That none of it's designed specifically for recreational and/or intrapersonal use?

You're right of course, that all drugs are designed for medical applications. My point was just to point out what an EXTREMELY addictive and life-consuming thing Fent and Dilaudils can become, doctors don't even risk it unless they think the patient is a gonner.

The reason you hear little about this chemical (and dilaudil, "die-law-dill", another EXTREMELY powerful opiate that knocks the socks off heroin) is that people don't abuse it all that much. And those that do usually are very very hardcore (for lack of a better term) and sadly enough tend not to live very long.

I've never taken Fentanyl, so I can't tell you exactly how it interacts with other opiates. I have been told by users that they need to be wearing a Fent patch (it comes in patches, too) to even attempt getting high off of anything else.

I certainly didn't want to come off preachy, I've just known people that have gotten into this stuff not knowing what kind of a step they were taking, and it's something most people regret.

I mean a patch on your arm, a little lollypop here and there, if you're not familiar with the nature of the chemical it's easy to fool yourself into thinking it's not a problem.

In any case, sorry to overreact. But if you do a search you can find a bunch of stuff PhreeX has written on this drug (I think it was his favorite) and then you know what happened to him eventually :(

I don't think fent was dave's fave...i thought it was OC...

i did a search and the correct spelling is Dilaudid....so the pronounciation, just say "did" instead of "dill"?
