Oh boy, I don't want to write out all the details and information I can on experiences on amphetamines because that could go on and on. Needless to say I am currently prescribed vyvanse at 60mg a day, and used to be on adderall IR 20mg 2x a day. NEITHER time, did I take either meds like I'm "suppose" to which is daily. Instead I take it when I feel like I really need it because the side effects weigh out the positives for me personally, and my psychiatrist is okay with this because he said that's pretty responsible sense he has more patients that end up abusing it let alone not taking LESS than prescribed.
Needless to say, i have been experimenting with the vyvanse every so often in the past few weeks and have realized a lot. While the "crash" or comedown when it wears off is much slower and easier to deal with then heavens forbid adderall/meth, it still doesn't 100% go away. I am already prescribed to klonopin and because of me taking that as prescribed, it doesn't ease the comedowns/side effects as much as it would when I was not prescribed to it sense my body needs it regardless. I also drink green tea as the bad feelings start nearing, and that helps a lot, I also daily take Omega 3 fish oil, and magnesium just for general health purposes regardless of the amphetamine or not. Even if I take a few more klonopins or even temezapam (which im also prescribed) that i literally never take, the lingering depression still doesn't completely erase which makes sense because of the amounts of dopamine etc the vyvanse releases and the fact I take 120mg each time with little to no tolerance, since I feel klonopin significantly reduces the effects sense it always is in my system.
After searching many days, for many hours like many others in search of even more natural ways to get rid of the shit feeling, I have found something that has been helping me a lot more. And that is EXERCISING! I have read a billion posts on this website and other ones how it is unsafe to exercise on amphetamines and so forth but I never read anyone say it could be useful for a comedown reduction which kind of surprises me.
---I have been on and off exercising sense the past few weeks (since I already have depression and anxiety) and because I know their are countless benefits of exercising especially on depression/anxiety/mood. Needless to say I tested my theory out which is if you exercise more you are suppose to be releasing and increasing the dopamine/seratonin/endorphins and other happy chemicals in your brain which is scientifically true. I wait for my "good" or what i say "normal" feelings to subside the days I take vyvanse, and go do some cardio for an hour. Surprisingly, it doesn't make me feel ill, or dizzy etc and most importantly nor does my heartbeat feel out of control after exercising even though i sweat and get my pulse rate beating. When I finish the exercise my heart beat actually feels SLOWER than it did before working out, and I notice every time I have been taking vyvanse now that the excess depression/anxiety/irritablity has reduced so much. I would think that this is obvious, but I haven't been able to find anyone who could say the same. So do you feel that exercising really is making a difference in the nasty comedown/side effects when the amphetamine is wearing off? (assuming your physically ok to exercise in the first place) I feel like I do, but does anyone else feel the same way?
