okay, has anyone heard of these? there soundwaves that are supposed to make you trip. im posting in PD because im talking about the DMT one. its very strange stuff. has anyone tried it?

i've tried those. I think its bullshit. Here is the thing. They are based on what is called brain entrainment and use things like binaural beats to try to pull your brain waves to certain frequencies. A Dmt experience has a lot of complexity to it so imo these emulate dmt and other drugs very poorly. Do they work, sorta. They really just should call it something else though!

There's no evidence these sounds have any effects (beyond, obviously, the - sometimes quite striking - effects of placebo from one's expectations of effects) and, if I remember correctly, a controlled study was done using i-Doser and found no entrainment effects on neural activity.

ive attempted these, as i read a news story about "kids getting high off the internet" or some stupid bullshit like that. IMO they are bs. they didnt work at all and were kinda annoying.

did u use headphones? idk i used a few of them and gates of hades wil lfreak u out.

....... ;)

I tried them when I was a kid lol, I found them unpleasant and they did nothing significant. At the time I had been high and drunk before, so I had some kind of standard for psychoactivity even though binural beats are way different than drugs.

^Atleast thats a bit trippy, especially if your already trippin 8o

Fuck idoser

I-doser is a scam. It's basically the same track repeated a bunch of times and sold under different names, labelled as alternatives to drugs, claiming to make you trip or get you high. Pretty much all the reports backing this up come from people who've never taken drugs. For example I tried I-doser and other binaural beat programs long before trying drugs, and I honestly believed I was tripping just because after an hour or laying there with sensory deprivation I saw a "white light" with eyes closed for half a second. Haha.

However, binaural beats, the technology behind it, is real. Just not what the I-doser team make it out to be. It can relax you, aid in meditation, or influence the direction of a trip.

Check out this free binaural beat program, don't waste your money/time with I-doser:

the I-doser DOES indeed work.. it's just shady how they market it.

first, obviously the DMT i-doses track won't make you feel like you've taken DMT.. that's just what they've titled that particular binaural beat.

and to the person who said there is no proof of entrainment or binaural beats working:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats
just read the wiki, it's all there.

the claims that are unwarranted are things about helping to quit smoking and stuff like that.

binaural beats are, IMO, a natural "high" in the same class with things like yoga and meditation.

these AREN'T going to get you 'fucked up', if that's what you're looking for.. but i think they can be incredibly healing and relaxing

Yeah, my friend showed me this about a week ago.... I don't really think it works. I tried it for about 10 minutes and I just had tinnitus. He tried it for 30 minutes and felt lightheaded (which I can understand from the noise) but not much else and the lightheadedness went away soon. He knows what high feels like too. qIn general it seems to be most interesting to like middle schoolers (according the the idoser reactions on youtube, lol) who don't know what high feels like. I'd rather just listen to Shpongle or the Chemical Brothers if I wanted to listen to something that'd make me feel high. =D

I think you shouldn't be complimenting I-doser there, the tracks don't even make proper use of binaural beats, they're mostly just a random mish-mash, and all the premium tracks are the same ones copied with a different name.

However yep, as both of us said, binaural beats are real, I wouldn't even call them a natural high, but they can relax you etc.

^^
You could be right about I-doser, I haven't done that much research on all their specific beats..

But I personally think they can do more than just relax.

To the guy who tried it for ten minutes, and your friend for 30..

The lightheaded feeling is normal after one session.. But like I said, compare this stuff to Yoga or Meditation.. You might feel slightly different after the first time, but it's when you make it a regular practice over weeks and months that you really start to notice the changes
