I did something stupid in dxm extraction...

Weeks ago I did the agent lemon dxm extraction, thought everything went right but had little results from the mixture. I used ammonia that has surfactant in it, and I'm scared I harmed myself D: . I thought the ammonia was nonsudsy but didn't think to check the ingredients. I figured it was some kind of detergent or something that made it sud. How toxic are surfactants? Am I safe? If there was any damage would I have felt it by now? Are surfactants soluble in lighter fluid so it would have been left behind if they aren't? I'm scared

apparently surfactants have nonpolar and polar sides. Fuck me.

I checked the material data safety sheet and it pretty much says drink lots of water and milk after ingesting the ammonia solution, nothing about the toxicity of the surfactants or what kind of surfactants are used. Ugh I'm calling poison control, I want to know if I'm going to lose lung and heart function in the near future fuck

For future reference pure DXM powder can be bought pretty damn cheaply...

If you did this weeks ago, and you have noticed no ill effects, it's safe to say that you're out of the woods.

Drinking surfactants generally causes gastric distress (like eating soap), and is felt within a day or less.

Next time do it right, or buy pure DXM powder.

Surfactants at worst will make you sick, it's essentially drinking soap.

It also will decrease the effective yield of your DXM extraction.
