I had the same problem when I started to take opiates, and asked my doctor. It is a very common side effect, but E did it to me too. I just trained myself to make myself go by giving my body physical signals (sounds silly I know) like holding my hands together in a prayer like position, thinking about rushing cold water, and turning on the faucet, and if I can reach, putting my wrist under the rush of cold water. After a while my body got used to the signals and associated them with the release. It takes a little bit of time, and I know how annoying and uncomfortable that feeling can get when you KNOW you have to go, but you CAN'T. That's about all I can offer you sweetie.

Heh.. I know just whatcha mean.
I donno which is worse...not being able to start, or stopping every 2 seconds after you DO start...that shit hurts.

The best advice I can give you is to relax. I know that doesn't help but all of us who use strong opiates, for whatever reason, go through this, and I'm convinced it's more painful for the guys.

It will take time, but eventually you'll be able to relax and it'll flow freely.

You'll also learn which muscles in particular need to be relaxed so that you can start and not stop every two seconds.
It may sound rather simple...but try peeing BEFORE you indulge next time, even if you don't think you have to...that may alleviate your symptoms.

Yea, when I was in the hospital I couldnt piss for shit, then they said if I didn't that a catherine (sp) tube would have to be shoved up my dick... that pretty much made me force it out ... now on oxycontin it's same problems just chill and let it flow

yep. i just pushed it out .
it was something i'd actually want to have when supplies were low b/c that way you'd know you were really dosed up with opiates

SL55 is right, peeing on opiates is a skill you'll have to learn! Trying to force it out just makes it worse. Back in my beginner days I tried to force it .....the muscles in my abdomen were killing me then next day from forcing them so hard.
