I am new, found the site while trying to find ways to prevent a relapse every 3 of so weeks. I never intend or plan on ever doing that stuff again and I know that it is my fault and only mine. I don't want to lose my husband. I was very heavy for over a year then at 60 days relapsed and now I have to find and do whatever I have to to stay away and never pick up again. Just need somewhere that I can communicate with others that know and understand what its like.

I wish you well in your journey. Bluelight is definitely a community full of people to talk to that will understand the struggle that you are going through ^.^ Welcome ^.^

Hey Ash, welcome to Bluelight :)

Don't be afraid to count on us or your husband during this time, we'll be pretty good support and I'm sure your husband is too!

Thank you. I need a place that spares the judgement so many people display. In a few weeks or less husband will become warmer. He is mad I binged again and is being harsh, not to belittle me but to try and get that its not a time to be all nice about it and if he is harsh maybe I will understand just what it does to him. He knows I am not scared of the drug, I was a very hardcore user from 13well into 20's and susurprised I got out alive. Ran into a old fried ended up getting some and enjoyed that I could work clean run errands etc and not feel overwhelming tired. But 2 years later I see that was not a good choice at all. Bare with me folks, I do hold very close to the bipolar part that causes me to ramble and skip periodically from subject to subject. Cognitive therapy starts in July to help with that

I'm sorry to hear about your addiction to Meth that's a terrible drug I was hooked to heroin for nearly a decade myself and that was another tough one.
You ever need support you can message me just to talk or whatever I'll be here:)

I hope things get better for you. You are more than welcome to message me if you want someone to talk to. I hope things get better between you and your husband.

Take Care,
Evey

Thank you trainspotter10102, might take you up on the offer when needed. Thank all of you, the husband will.come.around. I truly believe that yes mad some he is worried and scared something will happen. He doesn't want to see me destroyed by it. He is also does not show his emotions, with anything always has been that way. That's just him. He is awful at communication, my topic jumping doesn't help. It will get better, some days will be a complete disaster but I will deal with those then not to worry about today

Hiya Ash,

Of course without knowing you both, I cannot properly know - but from an observers point of view of what you are saying I think it's good that you are trying to see your husband's point of view. It can be difficult for us addicts to accept blame n see others point if view - the fact you are doing is good. He probably is frightened, worried about losing you - and unsure of what to do. If you look in The Dark Side sub-forum you will find a thread for friends / family members of addiction. Reading this may help you see, to a point, how your husband is feeling.

Do you think that you both could help from some couple counselling, do you think?

Hang on in there, Ash, you will get through this n already it seems you've a lot of support. Trainspotter knows his stuff so you won't go wrong in talking to him either.

Evey xxxx
