Alright so I have ALWAYS been a really skinny guy, my whole life people have asked if I was anorexic and shit like that. Fact is I eat a LOT and I just CAN...NOT...GAIN...WEIGHT!! Right now I'm nearly 6 foot and my weight fluctuates from 122-128 pounds. I really want to get muscles and I feel like steroids are the only option... I'm only 18 years old, so I don't want to start doing steroids right now because my bodies not fully grown. But my question was if there is ANYTHING you guys know of that puts your body in a muscle building state such as steroids, whether it's legal or not. I know there's this one thing that's legal and supposed to be just like steroids but I can't remember the name for the life of me.

UPDATE: Just came across these 'legal steroids' - http://legalsteroids.com/prod.html - Would these be worth the money or is it the same kind of scam as legal marijuana, giving you a slight buzz but NOTHING like the real thing? If it is real, given my situation, what should I take?

You should be able to gains size and strength without steriods, especially in your first 6 months anyway, it is almost as if you are on steriods!

I think steriods should be introduced after a few years naturally when you have hit a plateau.

A good solid diet plus a few hard training sessions a week plus plenty of rest and you wont go far wrong!

correct..

OP---you have to force meals down your throat--even when you're not hungry...

The only supplements you need are a good protein powder and possibly some creatine monohydrate....

bodybuilding/gaining weight/fat loss is all about consistency...you have to do it EVERYDAY for an extended period of time....results aren't usually seen until about the 3rd week of incorporating a good diet and training regimen...

eat clean too..if you eat shit, you'll gain shit...get your protein from chicken, fish, and eggs....

Don't forget milk...drink as much of it as often as possible. Be sure to do complete work outs that will shock muscles you have not yet worked. When I was your age, it was peanut butter and milk. Got HUGE off that alone.

I still keep a jar of peanut butter in my nightstand for those midnight hunger pains. As PARooller pointed out, whey and creatine is really about all you need. Some multi vitamins will also help as well as fish oil.

How many calories do you intake a day?

You need to make a diet and stick to it. Lifting weights and stuffing your face is the way to go.

Milk is a great idea- try and drink a gallon a day. I personally dig eggs so I usually eat them for breakfast and supper (5 or 6 at a time).

Try and get another meal in before bed- that can help alot. Don't skip breakfast- having a big breakfast will speed up your metabolism and make you feel hungrier throughout the day.

Have a protein shake before and after working out- add 60-100gs of sugar in each.

If you write down a standard days diet (or use this thread to act as a diary) we can give you some advice.

And you don't need any steroids or prohormones or anything... Taking them without an idea of how much you need to eat and how to build muscle would be pointless.

Yea I have never really tried a steady workout and diet plan. I have 10 pound and 20 pound dumbells (yea, they're really light but so am I.) I also have a bench and the Ab Lounge. I would usually work out 5-6 days a week and do about 50 reps of curls, 25 pushups, 50 sit-ups, then 25-50 lat pulls and butterflies depending on the weights I used. I stopped working out because I was getting a lot more strength and endurance but the muscle mass looked pretty much the exact same.. Is that normal? This was actually a few summers ago, when I was 15 or 16. Right now all I have at my house is a bench, Ab Lounge, and 10/20 pound dumbells. I don't have a car at the moment, it's wrecked, so I don't want to buy a gym membership and never have a reliable ride there. Also, I want to start gaining muscle mass before I move on to a gym so that I know it will actually be worth it.

With the equipment that I do have as well as taking Muscle Milk and eating a high protein diet, should I expect to see results? Or should I just go ahead and save up for more gear at the house or get a gym membership? I know that every body is different and different body types should do different work outs. With the equipment I have at my house, can someone tell me a reliable workout session I can do and how many days a week to gain a lot of muscle mass. Also how long before I should move up to a gym, though right now I'm just planning on doing that once I reach a peak with the equipment I own.

eat more food.

if necessary buy a scale to weigh your food so you understand what you are eating.

you need to understand how many cals of food you are eating per serving and per day.

no matter what you say and no matter what you think - you are not eating enough food.

don't take supplements. don't take steroids. don't take "legal steroids." don't even take muscle milk. just eat 3-4k cals a day of real food and workout 5 days a week.

Well, I'll measure it out and make sure I take 4,000 calories a day and workout 5 days a week. But for the record I smoke green all the time and eat a ridiculous amount of food. The other day I went and got a humongous sandwich loaded with meat and ate 3 chili cheese hot dogs and a large drink, and that was just for lunch.

Get a gym memberhship...you need to incorporate heavy compounds (Bench press, squat, deadlift, military press) to gain weight..

leave the 20 lb dumbbells and muscle milk for people in new jersey.

No...you can smoke all the weed you want---considering it doesn't hinder your motivation...

Stay away from alcohol and stimulants if anything.

a gym membership is pretty esential- or at least a few 100lbs of weights and a bar. At the very least get a chin up bar- you can build some decent mass with push ups and chinups but nothing compared to actually lifting heavy freeweights.

25 pushups is nothing. Try doing 4 sets of 25 with 60s between sets. You'll need to build up to this though.

20lb dumbells will do very little.... You need to PUSH FURTHER with EVERY workout. Repeating the same workout will not continue to increase mass.

Right, p-mo.. But seeing as how I am under 130 pounds, I was planning on using 20lb dumbells to do butterflies, curls, and all the other workouts I can do with a bench UNTIL I reached my mass which is when I would join a gym. But anyway, I decided to join a gym anyway so I'll let you know how my progress goes. I have Muscle Milk with 656 calories per drink, so achieving the 3-4k calories a day will be no problem and no it just comes down to my workout routine.

Don`t eat right before you go to sleep. It will cause stomach problems in the future.

What? Any proof of this?

OP, I was in the same boat as you. I was a "late-bloomer" physically, I didn't start really gaining weight until I was at least 20. I also claimed to eat plenty, but in reality, I didn't learn how to eat right until 22 or so.

It takes time, that's just the way it is. I worked out steadily for 2 years before I really started putting on decent gains. EVeryone always wants to see results here and now, but it ain't gonna happen. Gotta pay your dues.

hah.. seriously though...it took me a good 9 months of 5 days a week weight training to start adding mass to my frame...my body has completely transformed in 2 years...although im starting to look more like a football player than a bber.....
