Opioids I broke through bupe and now I feel great...but something strange happened

I've been weening out Suboxone very slowly. Now that I am at 8mg 5 days a week and 10mg only 2 days a week, I'm starting to feel the pain that got me an long term opiate treatment...it was "mild" but it was ever so severe to me when the specialist I was seeing retired and did not even have a GP (my own fault, for a while it was difficult to find docs who took new patients, but then it got very easy when the government did something good, for a change and made it easier to get a GP.

I start to feel that pain again and...well, I got a referral to the pain clinic waiting for me when I get to 2mg bupe a day...but I'll be in a world of hurt then. So I had an oppurtunity to grab some real opiates, some MS IR 30's and OxyIR 20's.

Only had 3 MS IR 30's, so I thought, with the huge tolerance I still have despite not feeling the bupe much at all, I decided to pull out the fresh needles, bacteriostatic water, alcohol pads, SteriFilts, the whole nine yards.

Unfortunately, securicups are great for just one pill like back then with the 4mg or 8mg brand Dillies. So I had to shoot up the 90mg in 2 injections. The first one felt fine, but I knew I didn't break in. The second injection....I have to say that previous to the ORT treatment, I had a smaller tolerance, funny how that stuff goes right? Giving you things that shoot up your tolerance to ungodly amounts. The largest dose of morphine I injected back when i was a weekend nodder was 50mg, Statex 25mg or 50mg pills, they're the same as MS IR's, but have less crap in them, same inactives as brand name Dillies. MS IR have a lot of crap in them, so I used 2 of the filters that come in Securicup (sterile cups) packages which have the plastic handle, the filter, which is better than q-tips) etc.

Well, the second shot done with a different syringe that took most of what remained in there, made me feel extremely hot and for a second there I thought my heart had stopped, so I did what I do when I panic and started walking around feel my pulse, it was fast, so I had a 0.1mg clonidine and an aspirin and things settled. But the rush was nowhere like what I remembered the rush from morphine to be, feeling real hot all over my face and my heart actually starting to beat faster? That's a bit strange right? No I did not inject in an artery, I used the best vein that finally came back after 3 years of suboxone on the top of my hand, I always had problems with the crook of the elbows, even for apparent veins, I can't get them to register there 90% of the time, I'll pull the needle out and some blood will come out.

It was one very strange rush I got to say, but I'm fine, I feared I did something wrong, but everything's fine. I just wonder what caused this. Maybe it's just this intense of a rush with morphine at a rather large dose (90mg...in 2 shots). I thought my heart was gonna explode heh. That and the heat over my face and chest was strange.

But right now I'm enjoying what I could not enjoy before I got on ORT when what I was doing was injecting Dilaudid 4mg to 8mg every 30 minutes because it's fucking opi-crack when you IV HM. I'm sad I don't have anymore hydroxyzine, that would have mixed well with it. I'll tell you if anything weird happens in the 4-5 hours i'm going to be feeling this.

I have IV'd ms contin 100's a long while back and one time while in a hurry I rammed it home too quick and got the pins & needles feeling that quickly turned into a warm then hot flash sensation that made my face feel like it was swelling up like a balloon. It quickly migrated into a headache that was incapacitating where I could feel my racing pulse pounding into the veins/ artery's around my skull. All I could do was lye on my bed and control my breathing to try and lessen the splitting headache. 15 mins later I could walk so I downed some benadryl and the headache subsided. I too used pre filters, micro filters with new rigs and RO water with .9% NaCl. I also used 5ml syringes that held alot more MS than u-100's. But hindsight is 2020 right?

I quickly familiarized myself with the histamine releasing and vasodialating effects of MS after that and subsequently injected much slower till I felt the pins & needles begin to come on then wait for 20-30 seconds before slowly administering more but in smaller total doses. And always 20 mins after a antihistamine of some kind. At the time it was scary as hell though. Glad I didn't stroke out.

You used saline water to prevent the gelling of that MSContin 100, right?

I had MS-IR's 30's, something I never had even when I had a lot more pharmy contacts (I got the better IR Morphines, Statex, mostly 10mg, but a few times 25's and one time, one of the pills on the market Statex 50mg.

I wonder if it was just the histamine release, I gotta admit that 90mg of morphine is a pretty large shot, I only had to shoot all 3 at once because of the Suboxone still inside my body. I'm going to be reducing my tolerance my way behind the scenes, with this friend who came back from where he had moved 5 years ago, and as before, he had a lot of nice things, although on the expensive side of things...now I got a bunch of 20mg OxyIR...I'm so sick of bupe, I got a plan, the only difficult part is the mandatory dose in front of the pharmacist or technician when I have to go get my takehomes, and I have to always go the same day of the week, obviously. I know 4 people now who have got rid of the bigger addiction that is bupe, with small doses of full agonists....yesterday evening might have been unpleasant/scary after the second shot where I think I got all 90mg of morphine in, 90mg of morphine, instant release, might seem large, but to somebody who's on 8mg of suboxone most days, it ain't much at all. Although, when I felt the morphine break through, I imagine the presence of bupe even if slight, I only had 4mg the day before, nada yesterday when I got these, so I got accumulated dose of bupe...they barely piss test me ever at the ORT clinic, but I'm not gonna be stupid, I'll get back on some small amount, 2mg a day if I can handle that a full week before and they won't be any wiser, and they'll be happy I'll be asking for a reduction to 6mg a day.

I know it wasn't a dirty shot or cotton fever, never got cotton fever from the sterile filters inside Securicup packages, at least when brand new. It lasted just 45 seconds, I felt my pulse, decided it was way high, had clonidine, had an aspirin and yep not only had I broken through the bupe that's accumulated from doses 2-3-4-5-6 days ago, at least I had more than 24 hours without any, just gotta be smart, tomorrow I'll get myself back on bupe late at night. So I don't have precipitated wd right there in the goddamn supervised dose...Ontario has doctors like in the US who can script bupe for a whole month since 2011! Health is a provincial responsibility and believe I keep abreast of all news, if it's done in Ontario it will likely spread in the rest of the country, since Ontario is the center of the universe, according to people living there, haha.

I'm still a bit puzzled, your reply helped get things in perspective, thanks. I'm just glad everything turned out to be just fine, especially when I got a good high for a bit more than 4 hours.

Definitely have been using the salt water for the gelling since I read about it in one of your posts several months ago. Before that I was going through the long and tedious process of filtering with a coffee decanter, precipitating with ammonia, reconstituting, filtering again and then micron filtering. Saltwater has worked great and only reduces the solubility by a hair IME. Many thanks for that one.

I don't have an extended history with subs other than the time I came crashing off 800mg of MS after 3 years. Even after 18 hours of abstaining from MS the subs threw me into precipitated W/D's and I wasn't sure I was going to make it but had no sources for a reprieve. 3 days later the sub smoothed everything out though and made for an easier end stage. I came across my subs from a guy who failed at detoxing and gave me a bottle of 8mg orange stopsigns as if they were aspirin.
Although he was also getting 870, 100mg MScontins, every month (seriously) from the VA and he only had foot pain from diabetes. I know right. Hello, try gabapentin/ lyrica please.

I tried one of the subs while on MS once before not knowing about it's PWD ability many months before w/d ing and had to break through with 4 progressive shots of 60 mg of MS. Slow enough to not catch fire. I was also using 1ml insulin rigs and only 60 mg of MS will dissolve into 1ml. Now that I have 5ml rigs I proceed with more caution.

After my "oh my god I'm on fire " experience I read a nursing textbook that shows a lady with a red swollen vein running up from her hand IV while receiving a MS shot into the IV port (also shown on wikipedia). And that shit is weak and dilute. It also stated that large or concentrated doses should be administered over several minutes to minimize circulatory inflammation. Should have read that one sooner.
