I ate a dodgy pie

My problem I believe came as a gift - sealed with a sweet crust. .
I wish I hadn't taken that first bite.
But it smelled so good to a starved appetite.
I don't like to eat very much these days.
My tastebuds are burned and my mind is a haze.
