I AM.....

I am inhaling crisp mountain air
letting it blow on my ruddy cheeks.
I am drinking fresh spring water
letting it slide over my taste buds.
I am lying in a field of sunflowers
feeling its freedom.
I am watching the open sky
cast shadows on the earth.
I am breathing in the exotic smell of wild flowers, placed uniquely in their own spots.
I am swimming in a lake
feeling the coolness on my naked body.
I am walking down a road
that I have never traveled down before.
I am listening to strangers speak
of experiences I've never heard.
I am tasting life for the first time,
all it's many flavors.
I am letting go
instead of holding on.
I am alone but
I am happy.
I am strong.
I am a creature made in the light
but explores the dark.
I am a being of my own actions.
I am discovering me.
