It's a mixed bag. On meth it's easy to get annoyed, stressed out, or anxious. You're susceptible to impulses. But you can influence yourself as well. It's cheesy, but just take a moment, breathe in and out slowly, and talk to yourself. Say stupid things like, "RELAX, dude, what you stressing about? You know $thing is worrisome, but you can't do anything about it right now, come on smoke a cig", etc... Don't pay too much attention to your heart rate/the color of your face/things you have to do tomorrow. Play chilling music, phone somebody to talk about nothing, do some low-priority work that isn't too bothersome, get your mind off whatever bothers you.
This weekend for example I was very hyper and irritable after a day of redecorating the house (ahhh.. meth!) but putting on some ambient and just sitting on the couch and talking slowly there was a sudden feeling of PROFOUND and DEEP RELAXATION that was very familiar to the serene feeling that E used to provoke...
So try some of the well known cheesy rolling techniques, most of them work here as well!
