Can I expect it to get much worse as I go down further? I am also taking 225 mg of lyrica a day which is helping a lot. I am going to 3 mg of valium thursday, will it be a hard change? Or if im feeling decent on 4 can I not expect it to get too bad? keep in mind that I have anxiety disorders and hypersensitivity that may make it harder for me then sane people who were just using them recreationally.

also idk if it is the increase in lyrica dosage but I notice I feel a lot better on 4 mg of valium then 10 mg of librium. Again it may have been the increase from 150 to 225 mg of lyrica

these 2mg valiums suck, huh?

thats what the doc gave me along with 15mg of IR morphine with my leukemia. I have to take at least 5 of the valiums to get any relief when I start to feel bad.

Yea, I'm not a fan of the 2mg valiums, but I have to get off benzos, its been way to long.

OP, what was you initial does of valium or other benzos, and how long were you on it for?

I went from 3mgs of xanax daily for 4yrs, tapered to 1.5, switched to 10mgs of valium, and am now down to 4mgs of valium. It hasn't been to bad for me either. I don't have an answer since we are at the same dose, but am also interested in other peoples answers.

I was taking up to 50 mg of librium a day, which is like 20 mg of valium. Im hoping 4 mg is nothing and I wont have to go through much else.

and im probably gonna stay on lyrica until im sure the benzo withdrawal is over with.

How long were you on it for? I was on the 3mgs of xanax since 2005, and havent gone more that a day without a benzo since then....

I was surprised that the 10mgs of valium kept me stable. I think dropping from 4mgs to 3mgs shouldn't be bad. I just got down to the 4mgs like 10 days ago, and will move down to 3mgs soon since I feel fine and am sleeping good.

I usually do the lower dosage every other day for 10 days and then just stick to the lower dosage... There is no need to just go from the 4mgs to 3mgs, you should alternate the days until you feel completely comfortable to stick with the 3mgs.

I've only been on since the start of june but I've been addicted before so I reinstated. Before that I was addicted to klonopin for 2 years, took another year just to recover. My doctor is doing this all for me and is really stubborn, he wont do the alternating idea. I'll be fine with 3, but when it gets time to do 2 im gonna ask him if i can alternate.

Mine has all be prescibed as well. My first doctor just never told me that I would become dependent on it, and all that good stuff.

I switched doctors to taper. The guy is good. He sees that I know my info, so he gives me a lot of input on my meds. I am tapering faster than my doctor knows. I am on 4mgs a day now, just got a script for 6mgs daily. I find it best to be a little ahead of the count with my doc. This will allow me to lower the dosage on my own. These 2mgs split in half, and also won't matter if it is a little broken as far as the amount of drug released at a time is concerned.

You can always lower you dose on your own, but can't increase it on your own.

I find it best to stay ahead too, but don't go too fast. Valium has a long enough half-life that you may not know what you are getting into until you've been on the dose 3 or 4 days. I got overly optimistic when I was tapering from librium I went from 15 to 5 in 3 days. The day folling my second 5 dose was one of the darkest I have had in a long, long time. I had forgotten it was possible to feel that bad. Now im just ina constant state of anxiety and restlessness which I am pretty used to :p
