I am a drug free outsider basically freaking out reading all this drug stuff ! !

If you can afford it, being on opiates all day isn't too bad in itself. You are spacey and probably headed towards failure, but you can function fairly normally. The withdrawals on the other hand are terrible.

Meth can turn you into a raging psychopath and destroys your body and soul. Withdrawing feels good because you are getting that nasty shit our of your body.

Alcohol is insidious. You can drink every day for years with no real bad effect. Then you can stop easily with some simple cravings. Unless you're a drunk. If you're a drunk, it could well be the worst, most destructive drug on earth. But like I said, it is very dose and person dependent.

cigs are bullshit and idiotic. why i used nicotine for so long is beyond me. easy to quit if you're an athlete (imo)

^eh, well, my point was gonna be: just like marijuana, coke doesn't produce sig physical withdrawal symptoms. but just like marijuana, coke is addicting. but you don't think marijuana is psychologically addicting. that's just crazy, man. hippy-hype.

While I smoke it, I can and have quit whenever necessary to continue the necessities of my life.

not everyone is in the same boat. and if you still smoke, well then you haven't really quit. but i dont know what your situation is. there are plenty of people who are successful in responsibly and occasionally using marijuana. there are also plenty of burn outs who will tell you that they smoke pot everyday but that they are not addicted, they just dont wanna quit (haha). either way, i'd advise against telling people marijuana is not addictive; it makes you sound silly.

It's more habitual than addictive; people just get into that ritual. If you smoke every day, you are not nearly getting the full potential of the experience. Cocaine is addictive and does not necessarily cause withdrawals. After one good session with it, the psychological comedown takes a toll and your body does have to make some adjustments to accommodate regular homeostasis again.

but if people are honest and they aren't imagining things, they will agree that stopping is not an issue.
you live in a fantasy land. no one lies and tells you they are addicted to a substance they are not. i'm sure there are a couple attention wanting weirdos out there, but usually being dishonest about addiction involves trying to hide it. no need for anymore back and forth though, get a last word in if you want.
Here's mine: marijuana is not a benign drug, kiddies. and, you have not quit a drug if you are using it; every drug user on the planet has given up their DOC for some amount of time, and, for whatever their reasons, the vast majority slip back into use. those are not success stories. oooh, oooh, one more thing. now i am gonna get some flack for this one, but children really should not be using drugs, including pot. bad for your development and whatnot. but that last one's a little crazy, cause high school really fucking sucks and pot feels oh so nice.

Anti-Depressants are nasty too, I knew a girl who beat cocaine addiction and never picked it up again but it took here years to get off effexor, she basicly hated taking it and had no desire to take it but they give people weird physical side effects. Ive heard so much crap i'd avoid them at any cost.

Effexor is fucking awful to withdraw from. Ive come off some pretty heavy opiate habits and i would have to say effexor is worse. And i was only on the shit for 2 months or a little less at a relatively low dose. I really feel sorry for people who have taken effexor for years then try and come off it.

The withdrawals for me lasted about 2 weeks and i was getting brain shocks so bad i felt like i was having mini seizures every few seconds. It scared me off psychiatric meds except benzodiazepines for years. Fortunatly i realized that not every psych med was as bad as effexor but i made damn sure to do my reasearch before i took any new meds. Non addictive my ass :X . Granted this was back before many people knew that anti-depressants like effexor where really bad for causing dependence.
