Froze. and thawed cactus from freezer. Remove skin from cactus, open cactus, remove interior bulk place in blender add a bit of white vinegar to break down alkaloids. Blend place pulp on stove let simmer in water for further extraction. boil to mush. Place mush in strainer to separate liquid, place mush in cloth coffee strainer to extract liquid. Remove mush, place on stove add water, heat until mush, extract water. Place tea in storage container for consumption.
Youtube video claimed 1 ounce or possibly 2 ounces of liquid enough for standard dose 100-200 g. 3 ounces would be too much. That seems to be too small, however, perhaps mescaline intensity is greater having repeated extraction process?
What do you think?

Your recipe is missing a critical step, the reduction. Typically after multiple extractions, you will have quite a bit of liquid. (It works better if you extract with plenty of water). You want to heat the liquid such that is slowly reduces to fairly small amount. It's important to go slow and monitor the process because the less liquid there is, the less heat you need from the stove. For the last bit, you probably want to just lightly simmer until it reaches the desired amount.

The amount you want to reduce to depends on how concentrated you want it. If it's too concentrated, it will be very thick and may even scorch, leading to bad taste and possible loss of actives. If it's too thin, then you'll have to drink a lot of liquid for a dose.

Dose depends on how strong the cactus was and what proportion of liquid you drink. Cacti vary a lot in potency versus dry weight, and any given 12" cactus could be very thick or thin. Water content can also vary a lot. In terms of dry material, a common dose is around 30 g. That could be very strong or very weak, depending on the cactus. On average, cacti are about 95% water, so 600 g fresh may be roughly equivalent. YMMV here big time. If you are new to mescaline, then I'd suggest starting pretty low because if you don't like it and it's very strong, it's a 12+ hours ride. Fortunately, low dose mescaline is very nice, so if you end up going too low, you can still have a nice day. A good plan is to have a variety of activities available depending on how strong the trip ends up being. I enjoyed outings to museums and things like that on low doses.

Good luck!

I boiled it down to a thick mush that would not yield liquid from a strainer. Add lemon lemon and water, blended it, and swallowed. Unfortunately did not trip at all even though I stopped taking antidepressant and antipsychotic medications more than week earlier. Had the same problem with mushrooms except at that time I was still taking medications.

I have another 12 inch cutting I plan to boil down and spread over baking sheet until dry. Given my systems reluctance to trip I plan to consume all of it.

When doing water extractions, you don't want to reduce it until the very end. Use a lid to keep the water inside and/or add water as needed. After each boil, put it into the fridge and wait a day or two for the solid particles to sink to the bottom. Then carefully pour off just the liquid part, keeping the solids for the next extraction. Once you've done several water extractions, you can reduce the combined liquid portions to a manageable volume.
