Hypothetical Complex drug regiment interactions with LSD

ok so i have a very close friend who always wanted to try LSD
im putting this in advanced drug discussion due to the large quantity of prescriptions many of which effect receptors and areas of the brain that lsd supposedly interacts with

hes got some amitriptyline lots of effexor TONS of neurontin and shit tons of cannabis all of which are active all day everyday
theres also Tapentadol as needed so traces in system but doesnt need to be active

he is very aware and has chronic pain which keeps him awake and more conscious through pretty much every non- psychedelic

anyway im not sure what all these medications would do to the effects of the LSD and what side effects could potentially occur and if my friend could potentially have any complications

from what ive read and can tell because of his snri and opiod tolerance he would have a before the fact tolerance
but also have a chance of bad interactions so it seems like a thin lin from my third person point of view

anyway any input or help would be much appreciated

The amitriptyline and effexor may attenuate somewhat the effects of LSD (as receptor downregulation due to constant inhibition of SERT is known to cause), but some regular users of anti-depressants don't notice such. Cannabis might potentiate the LSD, but this is less the case with people who use habitually. Opioids might mildly attenuate the mental effects of LSD.

Any interaction with neurontin will be quite downstream and indeed unpredictable, but likely mild. Given that serotonergic psychedelics increase glutaminergic transmission in a specific, complex, multifaceted way, and given that gabapentin inhibits propagation of action potentials in such a general way, something SHOULD happen downstream, but I don't know what. Maybe you could expect a muddier trip than otherwise.

Regardless, if I were him, I would try a typical beginner's dose of LSD along with the usual maintenance meds.

tramadol and lsd is a very bad combo so i would suggest avoiding the tapentadol also gabapentin in high doses made rangerz (a bluelighter) trip out. look it up
