Guys,

Here is a legal hypothetical:

Fred advertises he is looking to buy illegal drugs via an online community.

Chad private messages him and offers to sell him drugs and asks for a photo to identify fred and a location for them to meet up.

Fred does not know Chad personally.

When they meet, if Chad is a cop, can he arrest Fred?

If so, can you point me to an online reference stating this is correct?

I been thinking and searching and also searching here for an answer and I cannot find one.

1. don't listen to me, i know nothing :)
2. plz tell to stop leaving cars halfway out so i cant get out of the fucking driveway without reversing, movin forward, reversing, moving forward etc.
3. Catch me in a bettter mood

It seems logical to me that Chad could arrest Fred, as there should be a record online of Fred first stating they wish to obtain an illicit substance and then a record of the conversation where Chad agrees to sell Fred said illicit substance, I can think of no logical reason that in this scenario the cop would have trouble arresting the would be drug purchaser.

The only reason I can see for this threads existence is that you are attempting to find a way to circumvent the law, which we do not allow, for that reason I am closing this thread.
