I work a 2nd shift job that causes me to stay up pretty late most nights, often times after 4 am. Last night I decided to take a few hydroxyzine pamoate capsules to help me get to bed early. I should note that I normally despise 1st gen antihistamines because of their annoying anticholinergic effects, and because I've taken enough Benadryl to hallucinate severely and the effects always bring back bad memories..anyway so I took 50mg.
After smoking some bud and having a beer or two I noticed I felt really relaxed, more so than I would from the same dose of diphenhydramine, and I also had a nice spacey stone--something that doesn't happen often given my tolerance. The feeling could only be described as "immersive", as if the world had an added depth; a feeling Ive rarely had since my early days of smoking.I remember having very slight visuals while in the convenience store getting something to drink; they were not morphing or breathing, but just subtle, translucent lines connecting different points in space. It seemed to intensify when unfocusing my eyes. When looking in the mirror my eyes were literally all red, and they felt very heavy and almost burned to be open.
I ended up drifting into a nice deep sleep with vivid dreams. I woke up today (very late) and had a groggy feeling coupled with slightly impaired coordination, which was rather unpleasant. However, hydroxyzine and cannabis synergize nicely, which came as a nice surprise for me. The hypnotic effects of the hydroxyzine had a pronounced euphoria because of the cannabis, and the weed high was "deepened" by the hydroxyzine. Sorry if this 'trip report' is a little underwhelming but I found the effects surprisingly strong.
