Just wondering if anybody has had a go at these
made by purdue as well (like Oxycontin) and are a time release version of dilaudid
they come in caps and was wondering how easy one could break the time release?
any info?
do you prefer oxycontin over hydro?

oh yea the info leaflet says that if the patient is unable to swallow the cap, he/she can sprinkle it in cereal

Are these new? What are the milligrams? Anyway, I would imagine that if they are beads, you could dump them into a mortar/pestle and grind them, or put them in one of those pill crusher thingies. Seems to work for dexedrine spansules. I can't advise you on injecting these, but I'll bet you could snort them

I posted a detailed report about my attempts to hack out the US version, which isn't available in the US yet but you can get it in canada.. it's a cap with a bunch of beads inside it, well, I was also thinking mortor and pestle but this isn't the case - those little beads don't crush to a powder but instead little plastic discs .. they definitly took abuse into consideration when formulating these.. you can't crush them, sorry .. as for injection, this looks like it may have some promise but I am fairly certin there are other obsticles in place ..
The Canadian caps go up to 30mg I believe, the US formulation is going to work the same way .. if I can get another one I will explore the IV options a little more, but I am not expecting great things..

Well, even if you can't crush 'em, maybe you can still snort the beads for a slightly better comeon. I recall snorting dexedrine beads (yeah, I know...shut up!). We would just uncap the capsule, stick the thing up our nose, and tilt head back while snorting. Seemed to come on ok, and last longer. Those little beads hurt though...Anyway, I guess that it would be worth a shot.
