I just started using generic hydro and no matter what amount I take I just get a lil drowsy. I took 30 mg awhile ago and I'm thinking of dropping another 10-325. Any help or suggestions please.

The mods will probably kick this over to other drugs - it's not really dark side material, you're just trying to get high. But if you just started using, then the best thing to do is just stop: the high that you're chasing gives and gives and gives: then takes back, with loanshark-style interest, and all of a sudden you can find yourself wondering wtf happened to the past two, five, ten or twenty years, where all your friends went and why you're suicidal. I know it's almost certainly pointless saying this, but I went from just a little hydro or codeine to morphine, fent, and oxy on a daily basis in the space of a few months, and yes, I thought I could keep it occasional and all the other junkie cliches, while somehow not noticing that twice a month became once a week and then every day. Leave it while you still can. Besides, you're taking a little more APAP than's a good idea, and hydro just doesn't work for some people; if you don't have an opiate tolerance (or much of one) and can't get much off of 30mgs, you're not going to see the clear white light on 40.

Im assuming youre taking this for fun & not for pain, right? When taking opiates for fun, it can get out of hand fast like the poster above mentioned..........you will have to take hydro or any other opiate 3 or 4 days apart or even weeks apart to enjoy the highs it brings.

But if you just started using, then the best thing to do is just stop

This, a thousand times. Opiates for fun have an even faster loss-of-activity and a steeper diminishing returns curve than opiates for pain. If you increase your dose eventually you'll end up regretting it, usually proportionally to (number of doses taken / time) x size of doses.
