Hydrocodone First Time User

Hey, i am 17 years old and have been a regular cannabis user sense 7th grade. i have never taken a pill recreationally. i found my stepdads hydro 10's(white not blue i guess.) and i took two with the intention to sell them for some cannabis. however not many people are in the position to buy these, so my friend and i want to try them. i only have two, and i dont have the bottle so i dont exactly know the dosage except they are.considered hydro 10's. i need to know whatever information that will make this a fun and safe expeirence. im not looking to take pills a lot. i just want to try it. really any information regarding how the high actually feels, the best way to take them, where and when we should take them(right now im at her house. a sorta backwoods part of my county.) and pretty much anything else i could expect. im really just looking for information, as the resident drug in my part of the state is definately cannibis.

You could probably take one pill each. When I first tried hydrocodone I would take 5mg hydrocodone (Vicodin 5/500s) at a time. Opiate highs actually affect different people differently but expect to feel anxiety and pain relief and, depending on your individual reaction, possibly slightly sleepy or stimulated. Hydrocodone is stimulating for some people (as is oxycodone) but it is sedating for others.

If you want it to last a bit longer take some Tums 30-45 minutes before you take them. Swallow the pill whole.
 
10 mg of hydrocodone won't be an overly sedative experience if you're planning on taking one each

for those pills just swallow them like normal, any other route is pointless.

and don't trade pills for weed you'll wind up dealing with the scummiest people
 
I found that out very quickly. some pretty scummy ass people must want em cause not one of my friends or aquaintences was interested. which i guess is a good thing
 
this will not effect mine and my friends abilities to talk to her parents. im very good at holding my drugs and alcohol in terms of not turning into a giggling mess. im only looking out for my friends interest, this wouldnt be a problem at my own home.
 
it certainly could be. We don't know how she will react to opiates, especially if it is her first time.

I don't think this website is really meant to help you lie to your parents though
 
If you are going to try these for the first time *sigh* split the 10 in half. Take orally with a glass of water. Make sure you eat something. If you are virgin to narcotics, the Hydro could make you nauseous.

Also, how sure are you that they are Hydro 10s? Make sure you look it up if you're not 100%.
 
I'd say don't even try em. Best case scenario: turns out they aren't your thing and you don't like em. Worst case scenario: you'll really enjoy the buzz, and want more. So you'll take more. And more. And more. It may happen over the course of a month, or over the course of years, but if you like em, you'll find a way to get/do more.

If you're dead set on it, split a pill and start with half. Half of a vike 10 used to fuck me up nicely back in the early days. You can always take more, but never less.
 
Def take both at once, even then you probably still won't feel a lot, even without a tolerance. hydrocodone is a very weak opiate. For a first time user, I would say at 20mg you'll feel good and get a buzz, but you'll prob need around 30-40 if you want to nod
 
^^May be the case for you man but not everybody, I wouldn't recommend taking 20 mg. As has been said start with 5 work your way up.
 
^^5 is a dose that a doctor would prescribe for minimal pain. He's gonna need more than that to get high.
 
be careful, individual reactions can vary greatly. my first experience with vicodin i sniffed one and felt basically no real effects except a mild spaciness, but a friend of mine took one orally as prescribed for pain following wisdom tooth extraction and he was seriously messed up, like, couldn't stand up and remember his own name messed up. if you are opiate naive and (i believe) CYP450 deficient hydro can knock you on your butt. i'd advise more working your way up from a single pill at a time, maybe a half if you really want to play it safe. hydro is a fairly mild opiate but goes nicely in a cocktail with bud, a xanax football or a few beers.

This. Even if you do end up needing 20mg to get to a desirable high, it's still safer to start low, and titrate up slowly. There's no harm in playing it safe.

Also, yes to the OP, since you plan on getting high, there is a good chance you will seem different to those around you.

twotoomany makes a very good point, and that would be optimal to just avoid taking them all together. However, I think you have the safest way to proceed now should you choose to take them. Let us know how it goes for you.
 
ok soooo this is a website for information. nt judgement. narcotics effect people in different ways. i may like it and never do it again, who knows. so i ask you to answer my question, i didnt ask for advice.

and i wouldnt end a lecture about pills with an annicdote about vicodin and the early days.
