Hydrocodone and Adderall withdrawal

I've been taking hydrocodone everyday (usually 60mg or more) for the better part of 2 years. I've taken Adderall on and off for about the same amount of time, although more often in the past few weeks.

I have a drug screen coming up very soon for school and have to completely stop cold turkey, or I will lose my financial aid and my spot in my program. I am so dependent on these pills because I work as a server and it has helped my mood/speed at work tremendously. My last dose of both was yesterday, and today I have felt like a miserable zombie.

Is there anything that can help me? I've heard exercise might help, but I can't even bring myself to stand up. Any vitamins or suppliments to help me get through this ? I know this is only the beginning of a very long recovery. All help and support is so very appreciated. :)

Check out the SL directory for info on how to deal with withdrawal. Particularly pay attend to the comfort med threads.

If you have any questions after exploring that resource, please feel free to ask.

(The directory is stickied near the top of SL)

Some supplements that have helped me through withdrawal are zinc (energy booster, but don't overdo it) and magnesium (very calming and it's good for blood pressure, too; I take it right at bedtime. I take a multivitamin in the morning that has 11mg zinc (100% of the FDA's daily recommended amount) and 350mg magnesium - 100mg in the multivitamin and 250mg right before bed with all my other nighttime meds. I wouldn't take more than about 350mg magnesium in a day as it might give you the runs. Also soaking in a hot epsom salt bath (magnesium sulfate) is very relaxing and soothing and would probably make you feel better giving the demands of a serving job.

The good news about Adderall (I'm on 20mg a day) is that there are no physical withdrawals, but you might experience psychological dependence on them.
