Hydro Morphone ER 8mg

I recently invested in what I thought was going to be hydromorphone IR and instead got the ER(XR) version. I normally use Oxymorphone and know very little about this drug, although I heard that the IRs are one of the best rush's out there (especially when IVd) all signs on the message bards seem to indicate the exact opposite for the ER version, which is very disappointing to say the least. If anyone can tell me if and how I can bypass the ER formula to make these beneficial in the least bit (I dont want to just start winging it because I read on a few sites that they are very dangerous when broken), it would be greatly appreciated, thank you all!

I don't have personal experience with this one, but my suggestion (for best effect) would be to crush, and very slowly insufflate (as in, make that 8mg into 20 lines or so - I'm not joking). There is so much filler to active ingredient that your nasal passage will clog with junk and not allow the "good stuff" to properly absorb.

Don't IV them. There MAY be a method to get the release mechanism out of them, but if not, and you do slam it, you can cause some pretty bad complications.

^Agree entirely - again no personal experience, but shooting pills in general is bad news (you MUST use a micron filter to remove the filler/binders or you risk damaging your veins and ending up with an irreversible lung disease called pneumoconiosis/talcosis) but an ER version is even riskier..

Other than IVing, intranasal is the best ROA in terms of bioavailability (50% insufflated, 30-35% oral and plugged).

Remember that hydromorphone is very strong - take a look at this opioid conversion chart and be careful with your dose. Stay safe

Thank you, I got the coating off very easy and exposed the center, which was half white and gray, so I just split that and kept the white part and shaved it out and had no problems with clogging or anything, but I don't know about IVing them.
