HR - Xanax 24 Hours Before Fentanyl

Would this be safe? I took 4mgs of Xanax over the course of the day today for anxiety (Admittedly, not prescribed by my doctor), but I start the 25mcg patch tomorrow (prescribed). I have a mild benzo tolerance, so the 4mgs didn't really affect me, but I want to be sure it's out of my system and won't have any effect on the patch. (I'm basing the "24 hours after" on my LAST dose of Xanax from earlier today - not the first). The only other thing I've taken is prescribed and it's Gabapentin 600mg, three times a day, which normally has very little impact (that I can feel) on the opiates I have been prescribed in the past (sometimes it even makes them feel weaker, actually).

The benzos probably haven't entirely exited your system, so there may well be potentiation and some extra sedation from the opiates. But 25ug/hour is quite a low dose, so I very much doubt it'll be dangerous (unless your day-to-day life involves heavy machinery or fine motor coordination)

Haha, no - heavy machinery won't be an issue. However, do you think there is still enough in my system for this to go from dandy-to-deadly?

To give you a little more info, I'm 5'6" and 165 (I've gained some weight, so shhhhh! The mean girls cannot know. Yes, that last part was a joke.).
