I found this documentary to be incredibly unique and enlightening. I have never thought about tobacco in this way. You hear about meth from WWII, heroin from Vietnam, but not tobacco.

This was really interesting and all new to me despite having spent quite a lot of time reading up on social attitudes towards drug use in the pre and inter-war years. I had been under the impression that smoking was largely perceived as a healthy habit for the whole first half of the 20th century.
