I have a ridiculous issue and wondering how others have handled this.

I absolutely have to stop being able to send texts and emails when I have taken an ambien. It's a disaster. I write incoherent babble, all inhibitions dropped, declarations of love, manifestations of latent anger, it's horrible. Yes of course it's not healthy for me to keep all these feelings bottled up in my normal state and what I say reveals what I am really truly thinking and struggling with but at the same time it's inappropriate to burden people with it like that.

So I need to be completely disconnected! I've tried silencing my phone and putting it in a drawer of course, tried turning it off, but yet there it is on my nightstand the next morning, and wow that is terrifying. Looking to see what I wrote, it's horrible.

Anybody have the same problem? What do you do?

My mom used to drunk dial taking ambien and have no recollection of the conversation the next day. It's good to take it right before you get into bed and don't try to stay awake on it. Moving this to Drug Culture.

No no, even then! Somehow, some way, the phone ends up on my night stand! haha. I need to make it impossible for me to get any messages out!

that's scary. tell your doctor what's happening and say you'd like to switch to valium or temazepam.

^ This. Tell your doctor ASAP and see if maybe you can get on a benzo instead, those alway helped me get to sleep effectively.

Lock up your phone/tablet/computer whatever

Or just disconnect the modem or router and lock up those
