Hi guys, I just was googling this type of info because I've been good for a while now (stopped back in early september) but I screwed up and dabbled a bit over the past couple of days. I don't want to go back down that road and today I didn't have anything, so that's a step in the right direction. I have a solid support group around me of family that I trust and they know about my problem.

So I was just wondering if people have any ideas on what you can do to make sure you stay away from the poison. I have been through more than enough that you would think it would be easy to stay away from that stuff, but as many know it's the mental part that can be the toughest once you've made it through the withdrawals.

Thanks guys.

the only thing that really stops me is not being able to get anything. So cut off your contacts and your supply. The mental part is definitely the worst so figure out what triggers you and try to work on re associating those triggers with more healthy things.

^ This. Cut out contacts. But sooner or later you'll find yourself looking through medicine cabinets and stumbling upon something. Stay strong.

I stopped because I was going broke buying them honestly. They're ridiculously expensive to get and like everyone knows, you're not exactly dealing with the nicest and most trust worthy people either.

So I'll cut out the contacts because I never did that. However, I've gone long periods of time without contacting them and they eventually end up sending a text to see if I need anything, so that's something I gotta learn to deal with. I'll also have money in my pocket now that I"m back to working more consistently and I want to be smart about putting money away rather than burning through it just to end up being sick when they're gone.

Find God, Work A Program, yeah don't talk to your friends... This being up there, kinda what those other 2 do. Keep you away from those situations and keep you busy. You give me even a little bit of idle time and throw in one of my cohorts... its all over from there.
Have a kid, lol I'm not suggesting it this is what i've seen work for some people.
Choose life ;)

Sever ties. Occupy your time with something else. Work. Find a passion. Live a fulfilling life.

My story started with Percocet, and here I am a poly opiate addict.

It's not worth it. Quit while you're ahead and easily can <3

Definitely try a supplement called tyrosine (or even better- DLPA)
I can give you the details and instructions if you decide to try it but right now ill just tell you that it helps with fatigue and mood. What more can you want right? It gave me energy to work out, which turned out even better. Thats when I used perks heavily back then also, during a time after the withdrawals. Like 1-2 weeks clean, i actually felt good about my life situation. Dont use it to feel good, but use it as a tool to feel even better by doing things to occupy yourself etc. Im almost 2 weeks clean off H and like you, i started with perks(actually viks but u get my point)
I never planned i was going to try H but it happens because of money or supply
