How to prevent diarrhea from Ambien?

How can I/ how do you prevent diarrhea from taking Ambien?

Have you tried to lower your dose? Are you prescribed this from a doctor, if so then tell them about the side effects your having. I had never heard of this problem but when I did a quick search it's listed as one of the less common side effects.

Can you not take something like Loperamide (or any otc diarrhea treatment)?

That happened to me when I first started taking it. If it's bothersome, you can take a loperamide tablet. How much ambien are you prescribed? If you overdo it, that can make the diarrhea worse.

Oh jeez. Get some different shit from your doctor! Lunesta has gone generic and I find it to be highly effective...
