How to Make Hash Oil

Honey oil, or wax, is becoming pretty popular. I found a guide on making this stuff, it seems pretty easy, but does butane have any additives one should know about? or any other dangers besides lighting myself the f**k on fire.... also how much one would expect to get out of their stash. This might be a useful resouce though considering there arent any serious health risks to the butane, because getting rid of most of the added useless smoke as got to be good for the lungs.

Wax has been popular for a couple years man, its huge business out here. I know people who stopped smoking flowers because they get so snobby about their wax nowadays.

Making it is no secret, anyone can google it and find the directions in a matter of seconds. Do you have enough extra material laying around to produce a decent quantity of wax? Also unless you have prior drug synthesis experience, Id skip the manufacture and just find a dealer getting it off at good prices. You dont have to be Heisenberg to produce good wax, but you cant not-know a thing coming into these things and expect a good outcome. We got a bunch of fucking dumbasses blowing themselves up in their garages making this stuff, starting to make us look like tweakers.

If youre really set on making it, best of luck, please review the material thoroughly and from more than one source before embarking on this journey, and dont blow yourself off the map either if you can help it.

Probably the safest way is to use ethanol or a strong vodka like everclear and make a cold tincture: use cold alcohol and cold material and shake vigorously for a few minutes. If using weed instead of hash there is the option to soak the weed for a day or two in distilled water first, which removes waxes and chlorophyll but also a few water-soluble cannabinoids, then dry the weed prior to mixing with ethanol.

Hash tincture can be made in minutes but weed tincture takes days, although weed oil can be made quickly like with hash oil, I feel it's probably better made over a longer period of time. How much oil you get is dependent on the quality of the material you have, 10% to 20% perhaps.

When the tincture has been separated it can be evaporated down to oil in a flat bottomed dish. The awkward aspect is the actual handling of the oil so I just make mine in the vials I use to vaporize with my essential vaaapp pipe.
