how to get dexedrine on prescription?

I was wondering what would be the best way to go about getting a dexedrine 'script off the doc.I haven't got narcolepsy or ADHD,and i don't think i could convince him otherwwise.What other things would work,small doses with an SSRI? treatment for social phobia? as a substitute drug for addiction to amphetamine sulphate? ps i live in the uk.
 
I think the best way would be the "I cant concentrate" route. Research the symptoms of ADD and go into your doctors office saying how you have trouble focusing and your grades are dropping or something like that. He should ask you then if you have ever been tested for ADD or ADHD. If you know the symptoms you can pull it off.

Start doing the ADHD act, because thats eally the ONLY thing they will prescribe amphetamines for anymore.. hopefully you're under about 22 and can still make this work..

Ok thanks for the advice, i think i'll try the ADHD route,just had a few questions about how i should act though.Should i sound like i know what i'm talking about and actively seek out the drug,or should i sound nieve and make him think he's the boss.Also what do you think of saying i tried amphetamines and they really helped me think straight and concentrate for the first time (or is that a bit obvious) Also what type of questions will the doc ask and will i have to go to a specialist? Another thing what's to stop the doc prescribing ritalin instead? PS is adderal any better than dexedrine? I know i've waffled on,but i'd appreciate any help you can give....thanks
 
NEVER say you tried amphetamines and they helped - thats seeking.. if askedabout drug use, say you smoked pot a few times and "didn't like the feeling of being altered" ..
Aside from that, go in and complain of not being able to concentrate - if this is a new doctor, tell him you were on Adderall (maybe 10mg twice a day) back when you were <a few years ago> and it helped.. but if he doesn't want to prescribe an amphetamine right away, do NOT FIGHT IT! Take what he gives you then tell him it doesn't work..

you bastards wont have to wait for it to be in the ezine to see it again. I will modify it so it is better for publishing, but here is the pre circumsized version, brought to you by...me. this was written a half year ago or so. I'm gonna start a new post with it so it can be spread more. Just look for the topic "ADD/ADHD guide" or some shit in here.
 
Also if you could prove that you have Narcolepsy that would help too. Friends boss has it and is perscribed Dexi's as a result. I think it would be tougher to play the narcolepsy dance.
On a side note, you can really tell when my friend's boss is ON ONE
 
to specificly get dexedrine or dextrostat, you can start off on ritalin and either say that they seem to be not strong, don't work for more than 2-3 hours or they upset your stomach and make you feel sick...if you get bumped to adderall, say that they make you feel depressed, (adderall supposedly has a harsher comedown then dexies) then your on your way to dexedrine. if you want dextrostat (short acting dexedrine) just say you dont want 12 hour affects from the time release dexedrine and you need short acting pills for some days.

You all down play how hard it really is to get amphetamines.. onceyou hit about 18 they want to get you away from amphetamines and on to other drugs..
Sleep disorders are treatable with a VERY LONG list of drugs before amphetamines, so don't say "I fall asleep durring the day" and expect to get anything good..
Desoxyn is not often prescribed, and if you're not already some high dose of other amphetamines (Dexedrine, Adderall, etc..) you can forget that idea!

Well i am 18,so i hope i'll be ok.A few more questions, will he write a prescription straight away or will i be referred to a specialist? Also should i act all hyped up and unable to sit still,or just act normal and explain the symptoms. Another thing i left school when i was 15 for various personal reasons, what do you think about saying i had to leave school because i could never concentrate on the work, and it's just got worse since then, and i feel i have to do something about it now.
 
im sick of people thinking people with add figit and move around alot..its not like tremors or anything
 
A few pointers about diagnosis. First, you have to be 18 to get a script/diagnosis without having your parents involved. Second, very few family physicians will make the diagnosis (only pedatricians or long standing generous family docs will). I tried that. They will refer you to see a psychologist or psychiatrist and say you can bring documentation of your illness and they will write you a script if needed (if you saw a psychologist; since they are not MD's). I recommend seeing a psychiatrist because they are cheaper and tend more towards the use of medicine then behavioral approaches (they know what works) and they are generally much less expensive then their counterparts. Eg: $150/hour vs. $350/hour + seeing a doc to get a script.
It will probably cost you a minimum of $150 + the price of the script to get amphetamines, plus it takes time. You are probably better served by just looking for some crystal if you all you want is to get high. And if you mention any past history of drug USE or even excessive drinking, you are going to get a big fat bottle of Cylert at best, regardless of what it might do to your liver. If you reason for something better, you might get some nifty elavil.
When I say it takes time, I mean it because, you need to read a good book on ADD, and get the symptoms down cold in your head and also know the typical doctor's perspectives on the disorder and how they decide to treat it.
Btw, I take 20mg Adderall twice a day (seriously). What is the likelyhood of getting a desoxyn script? It is a special order at almost every pharmacy, is ungodly expensive, and some doctors don't even know it exists. I have read some ADD books that listed it as one of primary stimulants for treatment but most don't mention it. I imagine that if I tried to get switched to something else (like Desoxyn) the order would be like this: Adderall->Concerta->Dexedrine->Ritalin->maybe Cylert and TCA's. It seems like more trouble than its worth plus the fact that you might not be able to get switched back to Adderall (my favorite).

When you say bring documentation,what sort of documents do you mean?Also, even though i am 18 do you think it is a good idea to bring my mum along to the doctors office with me?(make it more believable)And when you say it takes a long time,how many months would diagnosis,prescriptions etc take.Finally does anybody know if doctors still prescribe desoxyn for ADD,if so in what circumstances?
 
hehe, Desoxyn=dirty crank, well just about, like some else said before, just go to the streets and look for some glass, better then hearing your doctors bitch about how you shouldnt abuse Amphetamines and shit.

Dude, definitley bring your mom with you. I got a bs adderal script when I was 19. I bullshitted my dad into believeing I got an ADHD problem(cause i did lots of research). So he comes in the doc office with me, was backing up my story to the doc. Doctor didnt think twice about wrinting me a script. You definitley got to sell it to your mom though, parents add a little bit more legitimacy to the whole thing.
 
it may be a lot harder for geoff to get his prescription,than you people in the states.the u.k has a very different view on prescribing amphetemines,than the states,its very rare actually.
 
if you're a college student, its super easy. I took the ADHD test at the student health building, all I had to do was say I was having real trouble keeping up in all my classes, never seemed to be able to focus enough to get my shit done, etc. They have a test you take and if you research the symptoms, its super easy to get something. usually you'll start out on ritalin.
