There are a couple of old threads on this but not relating to UK, hope this is alright, I'm pretty new here.

Don't want to bore you with the details of why I need it, but I do and I'm reading that UK GPs are very reluctant to script out Valium.

Anyway my old man bless the guy has all sorts of serious medical problems, numerous strokes, heart attacks, no kidneys, on dialysis and for that reason they give him Valium.

He sent me a strip and when I took it it was like the biggest weight off my shoulders, first time I haven't felt emotionally sick in about 6 months, first time I've had more than 4 hours sleep in the same amount of time.

So I buy 100x 2mg of Etizolam online the closest thing I can get to Valium from one of those quite dodgy RC sites which does knock me out but doesn't give me as much as the worry free feeling that the Valium did.

My problem is short term, hopefully will be resolved within the next two months, so an SSRI would be useless due to how long they take to work.

Is it wise to go to the GP and say something along the lines of 'Listen I really don't want to put a gun to your head but I need something like Diazepam because I don't want to be forced to go to some dodgy website online and order a load of meds which may or may not be dangerous".

I mean my life is going to go in one of two directions, I don't get the valium and I ruin my relationship because being in a long distance relationship is killing me...or I do get the valium, I'm able to control my emotions, my relationship survives until I can move to be with her and I live happily ever after.

I've got an appointment with the doctor tomorrow.

This kind of stuff is against the rules, we can't help you.

Valium is just a mental band aid, it won't do you any good in the long term.
