How to: best acid high?

I tried acid once (it was supposed to be 4 tabs or whatever but... Apparently it wasn't lol, my friends who bought it and aren't new to acid felt almost nothing, my friend was tripping balls, saying that she was scared of her reflection and that a lot of things were trippy.. It was her first time trying acid I think and it was mine too.. And not knowing what " 4 tabs" were, I still thought I had a nice experience, it was beautiful and pleasant, nothing weird or scary. I also had a nice tingling feeling everywhere lol

Anyway, I'm gonna be trying it again at some point this month and my first time was almost a year ago so I don't remember.. Does the trip really last up to 12 hours? And is it an instant feeling or do you have to wait for it to kick in? How long? Does the high increase gradually?

Any tips n tricks to ensure a great trip? I usually get scared/unsure/paranoid before taking anything.. Lol but that's cuz I'messimistic and I'm scared of embarrassing myself or something :P and since they usually take 30+ minutes to work, I'm usually excited/impatient by then lol
 
I find that acid is a beautiful drug if you are totally comfortable with the people youre with.

I also have a bit of social anxiety and esteem issues, which can really suck on acid. For example, i was having the best night ever with a mate until i went to a party full of people that werent tripping. I just couldnt stop thinking about them looking at me and KNOWING. Not an issue for the confident, but for the meek it was rough.

That being said, you have nothing to fear if you know youll be comfortable with the people youre with and the activies you are doing. This was basically just a heads up because it sounds like you might be a bit socially anxious as well.

Don't know how much you're doing. I'm going to assume a moderate dose.

It's ok if you feel some fear, but if you're really feeling uptight about it then I would just not do it. IMO you have to be in a certain state of mind to really benefit from doing this, but others may disagree. The acid trip can easily become whatever your experience is, so my advice to you is to gently nudge your experience into how you want it to be. You can do this with careful planning. Take the fear with you, but try to keep your emotions and outlook flexible. Acid will deconstruct whatever it is you're thinking about, and might help you make sense of it.

I can't do acid in social settings. I do a lot of it at a time and so my home environment has to be finely tuned. I have 5 or 6 CDs setup to play, snacks made that I can just grab and put in my mouth without having to think about it (food likes to move/become incomprehensible), and I make sure I have 1-2 friends max with me who are also doing it. I have zero interest in going outside on heavier doses. There is enough going on with my inner world to make a night's worth of interest.

The trip lasts a long time. It can seem even longer when you're on it. Time ceases to be consistent. At points you will feel like time has slowed down immensely, and at other times it feels like a lot of time has passed quickly. Time distortion is normal.

You will feel a peripheral high to start with. You'll feel pleasantly light headed, your body might feel electric, the room might seem like it's increasingly surreal looking. When you get to the point that you can't tell if you're hot or cold, the visuals will start not long after. The intensity of the visuals will increase exponentially, doubling in intensity with each new interval until you are peaking. Then it will plateau at its highest level of intensity for a few hours before it starts to come down.
 
How to ensure a good acid trip: Clean your house, pay your bills, forgive anyone you are angry with, tell your mom you love her, wrap up any lingering commitments and free up some time -- in general make yourself proud of yourself and set aside any stress. Then take acid and enjoy!
 
I either take it by myself and try to figure stuff out in my life or take it music festivals, party hard and have a grand old time.

I find you have to be around people you love and are really good friends with. I couldn't just take it and walk around town, I get anxiety from thinking that people are seeing me high on acid tripping out and doing weird shit.

I recommend to watch a sunset while tripping, one time at a music festival I was standing at the top of a hill looking down at the stage with the sun going down. One of the most beautiful things I've seen.
