About a week and a half previously, >I< took about 120mgs of dihydrocodeine. I had a very uplifting experience and went to bed feeling great, but the next morning was so nauseous that I couldn't keep any food down. How can this be avoided?

What is your tolerance to other opiates? If you had no tolerance, 120mgs may be a bit much of dihydrocodeine.

I never got any kind of high from dihydrocodeine but it gave great pain relief, go figure.......

I usually do not take opiates but when researching DHC doses everyone told me 120mg was ideal.
And It was the opposite from me, the dihydrocodeine didn't do anything for my pain but it made me too dopey to care.

Try weed, it's the only thing that works for my nausea. If that's not an option try eating before u dose.

Its just what happens when you are not used to opiates yet if you keep using them you will get used to them and it will go away.
I remember when I first started opiates I would throw up 5-10 times a day from taking too many pills and not being used to it. The way to avoid it is to lower your dose cause it means your body has taken in too many opiates and had a bad reaction or like I said over time after a week or so of taking high dose opiates consistently and puking your guts out everyday eventually your body gets used to it and stops puking. But you don't want to be addicted to opiates its no fun at all and your tolerance will only increase.

What he said! I remember the first time a snorted an old school Opana 40mg, my stomach flipped over 4-5 times but I held it down. Definitely too much!

Sounds like it was just that you took too much opiates (hydrocodone) in your case and woke up the next morning nauseous, opiate sickness doesn't happen fast when taking oral opies like hydro in your case; unless your doing a strong opiate like H or something and are IVing it... Just be careful b/c if you keep doing it you will feel that sickness whenever you DON'T have the opiates - thats addiction. Be safe and take less next time.
