How to ask psychiatrist for another adderall dose?

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed adderall XR. It's significantly improved my quality of life...until 3 in the afternoon when I'm back to normal. (Normal isn't good, my ADHD is probably the severest you can get).

I've heard of people getting an IR dose to take later in the day, so, how would I suggest this without sounding like a drug seeker?

Note: I'm not asking how to scam a doctor for meds, I'm asking how to tell a doctor that an IR dose in the afternoon would actually really help me. I'm 19 and I'll have my 40 year old dad there with me (neither of us look like junkies) to agree with whatever I say like last time.

The best way to do this is be honest with your doctor about what your expectations for the medication are...and if the medication is failing to meet those expectations, tell your doctor and he/she will help you... We still can't tell you what to say to a doctor to get meds (even if you say you're not trying to "scam" the doctor - you're still asking us what to say to the doctor).
