Opioids How to ask my doctor for exrta vicodin? going on vacation

I'm leaving for california from WA state in a few weeks, I'll be there a few months. How should I tell my doc I need 3 months of vicodin? I have a feeling he'll think it's BS. I could show him the plane ticket. any ideas?
 
we're not here to give that kind of advice, it's asking how to doctor shop and counter intuitive to our mission around here.

be straight with him, tell him you're going on vacation for however long and will need repeats. otherwise if he doesn't have a bar of that have him tee you up with an alternate doc in that city before you leave.
