Well, I am not sure that I would say that zolpidem renders a "high" like some other drugs do, in the sense of whether or not it produces true euphoria, but I have personal experience with it and have read and heard many reports about the drug. Some would definitely say that it does render a "high", but I know that, regardless of the wording, many who take zolpidem report it gives quite the experience for them to enjoy.
But, as for your situation, and wanting to have a good time, I would say that, at any dose, you are going to want to be aware, before you take the drug, that it may seriously impair your judgment, and also that it may leave you with amnesia so that you cannot remember what you did under the influence of the drug. You are going to want to be in a safe place - don't underestimate what this drug may do or how it may effect you. It is particularly important you are in a safe place, doing nothing potentially dangerous, for your first time, because you don't know how you will really respond to it. You ought to be cautious with using it any time you do, but especially the first, and first few. Now, you don't know how you will respond to it; individual experiences vary very widely with this drug, but being a fairly lightweight, female, never having taken this drug before, you may be particularly sensitive to its effects, positive and negative. Just be safe doing this drug, really, and don't go above 10 mg for the first time; also, make sure you will not be easily able to access the bottle, because like I said, judgment can be so distorted that you could end up taking all of them - this does happen, sometimes, with zolpidem, other z-drugs, and benzodiazepines. You shouldn't even take one more after your first dose, because you may not be able to gauge where to stop. I would be surprised if 10 mg won't do the trick - if it doesn't, you may not be one of the ones so respondent to zolpidem with respect to some of its more peculiar features, BUT do not let one experience fool you - your next could be very different, and so on. The drug best works on an empty stomach, and it works quickly - like you may start to feel something within 10 minutes or less, especially with an empty stomach. On a full stomach, the experience is notably duller. Again, be safe, and have fun. Incidentally, when I say zolpidem, I am just using the generic term for Ambien. And, take it orally, too.
